Paddy = Patrick and because so many Irish people had this name the brits on building sites etc choose to label all Irish as Paddy's or Paddies which ever way you wish to spell it,,,, It is offensive to be called Paddy if you are Mick or John David or Richard, this labelling is on par with how the gooks in Vietnam were named and Negros etc.

I agree that it doesn't matter, but where did you get the idea that these guys are/were Protestants (or even Anglo-Saxon for that matter)? Posner and Bugliosi were raised Catholic and Specter was a Jew.
