I wasn’t sure if you were referring to z208-211.  Yes, Life Magazine damaged the emulsion on frames 154, 155, 156, and 157. 154 and 157 are still there showing some damage, but z155 and z156 were spliced out.

If that is true we have been misnumbering the subsequent Zapruder frames ever since. The head shot really occurred at Z315.

?? The numbering was done taking into account all original frames. Frames 155 and 156 exist (but without the sprocket area), as do frames 208-211, in the copies made when the film was developed at the Dallas Kodak lab.
