She said that the first shot sounded like a car backfire, and she said that it didn't hit anybody.

Yes. She was referring to the horrible ear-shattering noise that was the first of three noises that she heard. She wasn't sure but she didn't think it hit anyone - she said things were hazy after that first shot. But you seem not to want to acknowledge that she said it occurred AFTER the last smile and wave made by JFK. The first shot occurred as he turned forward as he passed by where she was standing.  You seem unwilling to acknowledge that her evidence is inconsistent with an early missed shot.  It is not only the location and time of her recollection of the first shot.    The short spacing between the last two positively excludes an early first missed shot.
