'Decks cleared' for the criminal indictment of Mark Meadows: former federal prosecutor



According to former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner, there is nothing besides political factors that are keeping former Donald Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows from being indicted for refusing to speak with the House committee investigating the Jan 6th insurrection.

Referring to remarks made by a former Florida prosecutor during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday morning, Kirschner said a recent ruling by the Supreme Court "clears the deck" for charges against the former Trump insider.

Noting it has been 45 days since Meadows balked at appearing by claiming executive privilege, the former prosecutor said the assertion no longer holds water and that it is apparent the Department of Justice is taking a deeper look since the court's ruling.

"We now know that the Department of Justice is factoring in the Supreme Court's rejection of Donald Trump's executive privilege claim," Kirschner explained. "And that clears the decks for an indictment of Mark Meadows."

"Because if Donald Trump doesn't have an executive privilege claim, then Mark Meadows can't invoke Trump's by extension," he continued. "I was kind of hoping today [Friday] would be the day -- the day that Mark Meadows was indicted. Why? Because today is day 45. Forty-five days since Congress referred Mark Meadows for criminal prosecution."

"It looks like we'll have to wait," he continued. "At least another couple of days because nobody get indicted on the weekend, so Monday will be day 48. And if we have to wait another couple of days, or couple of weeks, so be it as long as that indictment comes."

Criminal Donald and his right wing traitors don't believe in democracy. They tried to end democracy via a coup and are still trying to end it every single day.

Criminal Donald is involved in many tax and financial crimes in New York. That's illegal. He also incited an insurrection and attempted to steal an election via a coup. That's sedition and our Constitution clearly states that's illegal.

Funny how Richard supported Criminal Donald's and his cult chanting to lock up Hillary Clinton based on a conspiracy theory and now he has a problem with it when Criminal Donald was caught committing several crimes against the United States.   

The voters already had their say and defeated Criminal Donald in a blowout election. He along with his right wing  thugs tried to steal an election victory from the majority of Americans. These same Americans will not be voting for a Republican Cult who attempted to keep a deranged lunatic in power by fraud and attempted coup.

Why is Richard so fearful of New York, Georgia, the 1/6 House committee, and the DOJ investigating Criminal Donald for his crimes?

So, this thug told his deranged cult to hold protests when he's arrested for his crimes, calling for more violence. And as a private citizen, this thug is saying he will give pardons in order to keep MAGA rioters from talking to authorities about his coup attempt. Last night he even confessed in a written statement to his crimes of overturning an election he lost. Time to lock this criminal up.

'We are going to win by killing people’: Morning Joe warns that ‘fascist’ Trump made his plans clear



MSNBC's Joe Scarborough condemned Donald Trump's latest "fascist" remarks, and he said the former president's rhetoric had grown so alarming that even Republican senators were pushing back.

The twice-impeached one-term president suggested he would pardon the Jan. 6 insurrectionists if he returned to the White House, and stated flatly that he had wanted former vice president Mike Pence to overturn his election loss that day, and the "Morning Joe" host said there was no doubt that Trump was an authoritarian.

"You have seen the rise of authoritarianism, and it is certainly what we all understand Donald Trump has been wanting to do for quite some time," Scarborough said. "If you can't win an election, steal an election, overturn an election -- that's what he was saying, talking about Mike Pence. Yeah, he actually said some things -- we haven't been playing his rallies of late, but he actually said some things that were so inflammatory that you had Republicans coming out and actually criticizing him and saying, 'Hey, no, no, let's take a step back, we didn't want to overturn the election, we were just talking about having some of the votes recounted.'"

"But, again, Donald Trump is now speaking in shorthand, now saying what he really means," Scarborough added. "He wanted a free and fair election overturned. Why? Because he didn't win, and, again, his words have consequences. This new sort of almost fascist -- I don't know, do you say almost fascist after Jan. 6 or do you say fascist? His fascist instinct to use violence to overturn government institutions, we're actually seeing it at Trump events where you have people asking, when do we start using guns? You are seeing it at forums. This past weekend, I believe it was, you had a Michigan Senate candidate telling people to bring guns to polling places. If they didn't win, they needed to be locked and loaded. Basically saying, if we can't win at the ballot box we are going to win by killing people."

Trump's desire to pardon Capitol rioters slapped down hard by GOP lawmaker



Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday morning. Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) reacted in horror at Donald Trump's promise of Saturday night that he would pardon the Jan 6th Capitol rioter if he is re-elected in 2024.

At his "Save America Rally" in Conroe, Texas the evening before the former president stated, "If I run and I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly. We will treat them fairly, and if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons because they are being treated so unfairly,” as the crowd cheered.

After CNN host Dana Bash shared the clip, she asked the GOP lawmaker, "Your response?"

"Look, the folks that were part of the riots and the assault on the U.S. Capitol have to be held accountable -- there's a rule of law," he stated. "I don't care if you were part of burning cities in Antifa in 2020, storming the Capitol in 2021, everyone needs to be held accountable."

"Shouldn't be pardoned?" Bash pressed.

"Of course not! Oh, my goodness, no!" he exclaimed.

"Would you like to have the former president campaign with you in your re-election campaign in New Hampshire?" the CNN host asked.

"I don't need anyone to campaign with me," Sununu replied with a smile. "I'm a big believer that as a candidate you have to stand on your own two feet and not endorsements. Endorsements are fine. whether you're running for the planning board, governor or president, you have to look folks in the eye and earn the votes yourself."
