The far right wing militia group "The Oath Keepers" planned weeks ahead to storm the Capitol to stop the certification of Joe Biden's victory trying to keep Criminal Donald in power. Criminal Donald directed them to go there in his insurrection speech. He knew what was happening and he refused to stop the carnage. He must go to prison for this.

9 Oath Keepers indicted for conspiracy, including 7 members of the tactical "stack" seen entering Capitol in combat gear

Federal prosecutors indicted six members of the Oath Keepers militia, who the government added as co-defendants to an existing indictment for three alleged Oath Keepers. Seven of the group were part of a tactical "stack" of people dressed in combat gear who pushed through crowds to enter the Capitol, the government said.

The nine were indicted by a grand jury on charges that included conspiracy to corruptly obstruct, influence, or impede an official proceeding, destruction of property and restricted buildings or grounds charges. The indictment also charges two men with obstructing the investigation.

Prosecutors say the group donned paramilitary gear and used military-style tactics — keeping hands on each other's backs to communicate as they marched up the steps of the Capitol — and coordinated with other Oath Keepers before and during the attack, using apps like MeWe and Zello.

The six charged Friday are Ohio residents Sandra Parker, 60, and Bennie Parker, 70, and Florida residents Kelly Meggs, 52, Connie Meggs, 59, and Graydon Young, 54 and North Carolina resident Laura Steele, 52. Thomas Caldwell, 65, Jessica Watkins, 38, and Donovan Crowl, 50, are also included in Friday's new indictment, though the three had already been indicted by a grand jury in January.

The Oath Keepers are a loosely-organized collection of militia, prosecutors say, which focus on recruiting current and former military, law enforcement and first-responders. The group believes the federal government has been "co-opted by a shadowy conspiracy that is trying to strip American citizens of their rights," prosecutors say, and the group's name comes from the oath of members of the military and law enforcement to defend the Constitution "from all enemies, foreign and domestic."

The complaint details an email sent January 4 from oathkeepers.org, with a subject line, "Call to Action: Oath Keepers Deploying to DC to Protect Events, Speakers & Attendees on Jan 5-6: Time to Stand!" The email noted that the group would have "well armed and equipped QRF teams on standby," referring to the military acronym for "quick reaction force," in case of a scenario "where the President calls us up as part of the militia to to [sic] assist him inside DC."

The email also said, "As always, while conducting security operations, we will have some of our men out in 'grey man' mode, without identifiable Oath Keepers gear on. For every Oath Keeper you see, there are at least two you don't see."

Prosecutors described the group's coordination prior to the attack. Kelly Meggs, the self-described leader of the Florida chapter of the Oath Keepers, allegedly arranged combat and firearms training for himself and others in Florida. Sandra and Bennie Parker traveled with Watkins and Crowl from Ohio to Washington, D.C., and discussed their plans in the weeks leading up to the attack.

Prosecutors say Meggs, who is a general manager at a car dealership, wrote in a Facebook message, "Trump said It's gonna be wild!!!!!!!   It's gonna be wild!!!!!!!  He wants us to make it WILD that's what he's saying.  He called us all to the Capitol and wants us to make it wild!!!  Sir Yes Sir!!!  Gentlemen we are heading to DC pack your s***!!"

Steele sent a five-page document that appeared to be an online application to the Oath Keepers of Florida on January 3, prosecutors said. In the document, she wrote, "I have 13 years of experience in Law Enforcement in North Carolina. I served as a K-9 Officer and a SWAT team member. I currently work Private Armed Security for [company name redacted]. I am a licensed PPS through the North Carolina Private Protective Services."

Seven members of the group, including Watkins and Crowl, stayed at the same hotel the night before the attack. In the days leading up to January 6, Watkins, the self-described commanding officer of the Ohio State Regular Militia, sent messages to people she labeled in her phone as recruits — including Bennie Parker. She advised Parker to pack khaki or tan pants, advised him that weapons were "ok" to bring, and told him they'd "convoy out to the Rally Point in Virginia" on January 5.

When Parker expressed concerns about safety and parking, she replied, "Parking is no issue, if you roll with the militia we have a guarded Rally Point."

The group drew attention for their tactical "stack" formation, which experts quickly identified as a military-style strategy, and have been a top priority for the U.S. Attorney's sedition task force.

Watkins texted Parker on January 9, "I've been following FBI wanted list, seems they're only interested in people who destroyed things. I wouldn't worry about them coming after us."

The feds provided no meaningful assistance during this crisis.  None.  It was completely bungled.  Under Trump, that would have been an endless media story.  Old Joe was focused on his plan to aid illegal immigrants instead of US citizens.  He probably thinks Texas is still part of Mexico.  He is clueless.  He said this week that there was no vaccine available prior to Jan. 20 even though he himself received a shot in December.  He said that when he wakes up in the morning he asks his wife where they are.  Harris is counting the hours until they invoke the 25th Amendment.
I get it, finally.
It's been satire, all along.

Maybe what we need is an outsider who is not beholden to the paymasters.  Our politicians are corrupt and incompetent.  That goes for repubs and dems.  Cuomo, Newsom, and Abbott should all go.  If only there were such a person who was not part of the establishment!

Jon Stewart comes to mind.

The evidence, as per usual, proves this to be a lie. And a pathetic one as well. Abbott and Cruz were warned days in advance about what was coming and they did nothing. As for the federal level, you can not declare an emergency when it has not yet happened. The "crisis" is merely four days old and FEMA has already sent help. Just how quick do you expect them to react?

Old Joe was focused on his plan to aid illegal immigrants instead of US citizens.  He probably thinks Texas is still part of Mexico.  He is clueless.

Yet his approval rating is much higher than Trump's ever was. In less than 4 weeks he brought the country back from absolute chaos to the stability we had to do without for four years.

Harris is counting the hours until they invoke the 25th Amendment.

Ain't gonna happen... just like all the other crap the extreme right predicted was going to happen. Get over it, your guy lost and luckily failed to overthrow democracy, and we finally have somebody in the White House again who knows what he is doing.

In which we learn that it takes four or more days to provide help to folks in Texas for a storm that was predicted in advance!  LOL.  Most of the equipment and resources are already in or near Texas.  This isn't a mission to Mars.  Old Joe is clueless.  He is focused on illegal immigrants this week.  Future voters.  Not the American citizens freezing to death in Texas.  And we also learn his "approval rating" is higher than Trump.  Wow.  I wonder why?  The leftist media has fawned over him for months.  They vilified Trump every minute of his administration.  If Trump had been President during this crisis in Texas, he would have been vilified for incompetence and a slow response.  But Old Joe is rambling in a dementia haze about traveling 17K miles with the leader of China and not knowing where he is when he wakes up and there is not a peep from the press. Think that has any affect on approval ratings?

Pitiful:  Biden homeland security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall told reporters Thursday that FEMA has so far supplied Texas with 60 generators for critical infrastructure.

Unfortunately Putin is taken. You recently went with the poor man’s version. Didn’t go so well. How about "the people" becoming more politically intelligent. One guy they should look at closely is Rupert Murdoch.

You really think one guy could fix things single handed? Even Captain America has buddies.

It can't be fixed because the process is controlled by corrupt and incompetent establishment politicians with the aid of the media.  That applies to both repubs and dems.  They do the bidding of their paymasters and then cash in.  That includes the likes of Cuomo, Newsom, Abbott, McConnell, Pelosi, the Clintons etc.  They have all somehow made millions while spending the majority of their careers on the public payroll.  There was something like $800 billion spent on the recent Georgia senate races.  That's "billion."  Where does that kind of money come from?  What kind of independent judgment can be exercised when it takes that kind of money to win an election?  Trump was duped into believing that the establishment repubs were going to assist him.  He was fooled by Ryan and McConnell until it was too late.  The establishment republicans like Romney, McCain, and McConnell did more to undermine Trump than any dem.  They despised him because he was not part of their establishment club and couldn't be counted on to tow the line and only do those things that were approved by their paymasters.  So they effectively worked to destroy him.  Nothing in this process can change  until the existing two party stranglehold on power is altered.  That will take an outsider running as an independent candidate.

More pathetic BS. The storm was predicted days in advance to Abbott and Cruz, who did nothing. And if most of the equipment was already in or near Texas, they wouldn't have needed the Federal Authority at all, would they now? Whining is one thing, but please try to make some sense, next time!

And we also learn his "approval rating" is higher than Trump.  Wow.  I wonder why?

You need to wonder about that?  :D

The leftist media has fawned over him for months.  They vilified Trump every minute of his administration.

And they were right. The Trump administration was a mess from day one and the Orange one provided enough new material on a daily basis. Unlike Biden! All the right wing media, for no lack of trying, has to complain about is that Joe's 12 year old dog doesn't look "Presidential", whatever that means. HAHAHAHA...

Pitiful:  Biden homeland security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall told reporters Thursday that FEMA has so far supplied Texas with 60 generators for critical infrastructure.

First you lied and complained that the Federal Authority had not done anything. Now, you complain that they haven't done enough.... Could it be there is no pleasing you? I'm sure, if you could, you would complain about Biden not preventing the storm..... You really need to get a life!

Current American response vs. ..well, the last guy? :)
Possibility of control/contain by 12/31/2021?
Thx.

Yes, Criminal Donald is on his way to prison.

During his public congressional testimony in 2019, Michael Cohen revealed that Criminal Donald overinflated the value of his real estate properties in order to fraudulently use them as collateral on new bank loans. That’s a particularly easy felony to get a conviction on, because it’s right there in the paperwork. So, we can expect the Manhattan DA to bring numerous charges against Trump, and his fraudulent property values are what makes him a lock for prison.
