That's because you've increased the shadow cover, Mr Mitcham.

Try just erasing the handrail shadow and leaving the rest alone!

Of course I've increased the shadow cover. I removed the wide handrail on the side wall. Doh!!!!

And why would removing any rail increase the amount of shadow on the steps and landing?
