Why does one member [so far] not wish to visit the plaza? Just curious.

As many times as I have been to DP...I have never gone to the Sixth Floor Museum. You have to pay to watch the official story getting plugged into everybody's senses.

Hi Jerry, I would imagine even if you don't want to "watch the official story getting plugged" there's still lots to learn there. It's not as if someone is going to walk in a CT and walk out a LN. The place also gives a person a sense of history. Do you really not want to see the place it actually happened?

I've been there 3 times now. And the 3 things that surprised me were the steep grade of the street where JFK was shot.  The lack of cover at the grassy knoll wooden fence, anyone would see you from behind for quite a ways....and that if you follow the zapruder film it seems like they do slow down to a crawl at the head shot, if you just film any car going by it shows the difference of not slowing down.

For those who haven't actually been to the site, or have not seen the easily-searched images of that corner, it's glassed-off from the public.

Seems that corner window was glassed-off from another direction once upon a time*. And boxed in.

I've never to Dealey Plaza. But I've seen comments from people who have, and most are amazed at how small it really is. Did you get that impression?

UPDATE: Was the size of Dealey Plaza smaller or larger than you expected?

I missed that particular fusillade...

Oh, btw, this subject has been discussed prior, about 3-4 years ago. You said you had been to Dealey Plaza and that it wasn't smaller than you expected. And you also said you stood on the white X that marked the kill zone and that you almost got arrested. And you also mentioned that you could not see the sn from that position.
