Lee Oswald's Note to FBI Agent Hosty

(1/5) > >>

Walt Cakebread:
There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the note that Lee Oswald delivered to the Dallas office of the FBI about ten days before the murder of President Kennedy.  Some folks believe that the note was a threat to commit some rash act by Lee Oswald....

I've been focusing this aspect for a while and I've came to the conclusion that Lee was angry at Hosty because Hosty had tried use his power as an FBI agent to seduce Marina Oswald, his wife.

It seems to me that Lee was threatening to file a formal complaint against Hosty ....

Lee had never met Hosty prior to the interrogation session that occurred in Captain Fritz office at the DPD at about 3:15 on the afternoon of 11 /22 /63.    When Hosty was introduced to Lee, Lee became very angry and said something Like ..."Oh, so you are the FBI agent, Hosty, the man whose been accosting my wife"

In his book Assignment:  Oswald Hosty says that the subject of the note that he received about ten days prior to that afternoon said something like...  "Stay away from my wife, If you want to talk to me we can meet, but leave my wife alone."

I believe that Lee probably continued with something like ..... "You have told her that you could have her deported if she doesn't cooperate .....  Though she isn't fluent in English she understood what you were trying to do.  If you don't leave her alone, I will file  formal complaint against you "

Based on what?

"Bother" not "accost".  Hosty came to the Paine's house and was asking questions about Lee when he wasn't around.  He didn't like that.

Where did you get the idea that Hosty wanted to seduce Marina?

Perhaps you need to refresh your memory of the report of Captain Fritz about Lee's eruption of anger at Hosty....

Fritz said that Lee accused FBI agent Hosty of ACCOSTING his wife......
