I believe he was a retired postal worker in Boston. But yeah, he was a nasty piece of work.

You must be thinking of Cliff Clavin. I'm pretty sure Marsh was a bus driver.

Getting back to the title of this zombie thread, Marsh on many occasions claimed to have proven the Z-film was authentic. I never paid much attention to his "proof" because I never had any doubt that the Z-film was authentic. I left it up to the tin foil hatted CTs to prove otherwise. None ever did, though many claimed to have done so.

A Marsh piece "proving" the authenticity of the film: https://kenrahn.com/Marsh/Puzzle_Palace/zapruder.htm

It's the ghost images between the sprockets argument. These will only appear in the original film (and not copies) and if any frames were missing or cut the ghost images would appear misaligned and reveal alteration. It's not clear to me how that explains away any alteration of individual frames.

Here is his conclusion: "[The ghost images] makes it extremely unlikely that anyone could have tampered with the film and reproduced the ghost images perfectly. When you consider that no one else, not even the best camera experts in the world, realized the mechanism which caused the ghostlike images for over 34 years, it seems highly unlikely that the conspirators would know about this characteristic of Zapruder's camera and be able to duplicate it within a few hours. If someone were to remove a frame or two here and there, the ghost images in the tabs would not line up properly with the new adjacent frames and would expose the alteration."

No, you're confusing him with Ralph Kramden. Marsh got lost inside the Puzzle Palace. Pure and simple.
