Why does the image behind the bridge in the Cancellare photo matter?
That is a very good investigative question….

1)It is a perfect location for someone to shoot and not be seen easily from those below…
1a & 1b) It is a perfect location for someone to shoot and not be seen by others standing on the bridge…
2) It is exactly where many say they saw smoke after the shooting…
3) It is exactly where many looked right after the shooting…
4a & 4b) It is exactly where Haygood and the nearby crowd ran to investigate right after the shooting…

I came across this picture of a seated gunman... looks like a similar profile to the blue pants legs on the other side of the bridge....

Is it really a plausable spot for an assassin? Weren't there people on the bridge that would have at least seen him run off? What were the escape routes?

                   - NO RUNNING, (above ground), REQUIRED -

The grate you see at the feet of an imaginary shooter:

                             (1) Covers a storm drain

                             (2) That storm drain runs Down to the sewer drain on the (N) Elm St Curb. This sewer drain is also where Officer Haygood dumped his motorcycle.

                             (3) That storm drain then runs Across Elm St to the Manhole cover on the (S) Elm St Curb. This is also where Bullet(s)/Fragment(s) were rumored to have been recovered.

                             (4) That storm drain then runs across the grass section (S) of Elm St, to the sewer drain on the Main St curb.

                             (5) That storm drain then runs across Main St to Commerce St

                             (6) That storm drain then runs across Commerce St

Cabluck showing the size of bystanders when they are standing at the wall railing

It's interesting to see how many people moved off the bridge within just a minute or two. Compare this photo with the photo Robin posted on page 4 of this thread.

This "SEWER system" could be used 2 ways:

                    (1) Escape

                    (2) POP/Get into place Immediately Prior to the shooting/assassination. (Minimize the fear of being sighted/weapon included)

Remember, Gordon Arnold made a point of saying that the individual that accosted him Immediately following the assassination had "dirty hands".
