I wonder if by mid 1963 Oswald had more motive to assassinate Castro than Kennedy. If he was a devoted Marxist he would surely be concerned about the growing influence of the Russians over the Cuban people. The CMC certainly put the Cuban people in jeopardy given Castro's decision to allow the missiles to be stationed in Cuba. He was clearly disenchanted with the Soviets. The idealistic society envisioned in 1959 was no more. Would this explain his shot at Walker, PCC activities in NO, trip to Mexico and visit to Odio? All designed to get him entry and favor with Fidel in order to put him in a position where he could stop Fidel and allow the ideals of the revolution to re-establish.

I tend to doubt how genuine or sophisticated Oswald was in his political beliefs. They derived from his desire to be someone different. His brother said something along the lines of if most Americans had been Marxists, Lee would have acted like a typical American. Several of the publications that Oswald did read in the weeks before the assassination carried anti-JFK stories relating to his policies in Cuba. If anything, it appears that Oswald maintained a high regard for Castro. Marina confirms that was the case and he apparently chose his alias as a play on Fidel. No doubt Oswald, as a lifelong outsider, would have been disillusioned by Castro's Cuba if he ever made it there. But in '63 Dallas, I think he still held Castro in high regard.
according to marina he ALSO spoke highly of JFK!!! love how the loners pick and choose segments to suit their BS story

Oswald did speak highly of JFK personally. However, it is my belief that Oswald was not shooting at JFK, the man. Oswald was shooting at the POTUS and all that position represented in the world.

That only occurs in the conspiracy fantasy land where every action must be the result of some guiding force. I don't think he hated JFK or targeted him. JFK drove by his building in an open car. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that gave him an opportunity to shoot him. He wanted to be someone important and this was his chance. He could even half justify it given the anti-JFK literature that we know he received in the months before the assassination. But I doubt that was much of a factor. He was a live wire out to make his mark. And prepared to commit murder. It was a perfect storm of events.

Since Oswald had views about ending segregation also, a view contrary to the prevailing views of DPD, and even SS agents, according to both Roger Craig, and Andrew Bolden, it might not have been too difficult to persuade DPD officers to go along with the view that the "commie traitor" must have done it. So Fritz,Wietzman, Boone, Baker, in fact just about everyone, except the dissenting Craig, went along with the story. And Craig and Bolden, were taken care of, one ultimately commiting "suicide" and the other being locked away in solitary confinement after being set up as"counterfeiting".
Abraham Bolden, not "Andrew".

Beyond any reasonable doubt! For whatever it may, or may not be worth. Tom

That is why you like to call the assassins nuts, so that you never have to discuss motive. Motive might indicate conspiracy.

Anthony his motive was to be the man who changed history. Its not everyday history rides by your place of employment in an open top limo.

I have had plenty of opportunity to assassinate someone famous but had NO MOTIVE to do so. One day the Dali Lama walked right in front of me while I was driving my bus and I could have easily run him over and called it an accident. And his CIA bodyguard was about 20 feet behind him. But I politely stopped for him and said, "Hello Dali, well hello Dali."

He would have bounced back up in another reincarnation Tony I am sure. In any case I am glad you didn't tempt his fate.

Harvard Square. Beautiful Spring Day. He was there for a conference at Harvard. It was fun to watch all the CIA officers walk 4 abreast down the street dressed exactly alike in $200 suits.
