Covered sidewalk under bypass.  (Read 691 times)

I  never noticed anyone mention the possibility of a shooter under the bypass where the sidewalk goes under the bypass.  Obviously the contrast would have made the walkway dark.  From the films, it seems a person could get off a shot from that location.  Has anyone noticed if there is any places to enter and exit the covered sidewalk area within the area itself.  I mean is there a manhole or double top or some place for someone to hide or escape.  I know directly to the left of onlookers at this walkway is a hill going under the tracks.  Are there tunnels or passageways leading under the tracks from there.

So what if they did? You would just call them kooks, as you did with Ed Hoffman.
Please diagram where you think this proposed shooter was.

No diagram necessary Tony, since I don't think anyone was shooting from there. It would be blank. And, IMO, they ARE kooks, in case you have any doubts as to what I think of the idea. Sometimes I wonder about your health.

I will take photos.  Unfortunately I am technologically dumb.  I am going to take a person with me that makes a living uplaoding photo's.  I will get them to help.

By the way that is a good photo of the walkway.  I had been looking for one that clear.  It does seem to expose most of the walkway but it was after the shooting of course.

Less than 60 - seconds after the shooting.

The clock on top of the TSBD  still reads  ( 12:30PM )

God knows

there were two storm drains, one atop the grassy knoll.  these storm drains have under ground passage to the trinity river.

I think it was Jack Brazil who theorized that a shot could have been fired from the storm drain on the triple overpass.

One Dallas police officer said he was dispatched to the Trinity River bottom around dusk  the same night on a report a man was walking around down there with a gun.  He found nothing and that was the last of the incident???

I plan on taking photos of the Tague vantage point , the threshold of the covered sidewalk  and any unusual findings therein.  I will take photos of the underside of the railroad tracks (the ceiling above the street).  I will attempt to see if a possible shot angle could have been made from anywhere in the area.  The picture in the above post of the drain behind the picket fence is nice Kanavit.  Thanks.  I can see if any other escape routes were available.

Look for a small utility room under the overpass. I can't remember the name of the guy who came up with that theory. Might have been in The Third Decade.
