We all know the story on the backyard photos. But what about the ghost photo? The story that i have heard it was done for the heck of it. But why do a photo like that? I also heard that it is one of the steps in creating a fake photo of Oswald in the backyard.

This "ghost photo" was nothing more than a matte done by the Dallas Police Department at the request of Fritz in an attempt to determine if the backyard photos could indeed be faked, as Oswald claimed.

Interesting claim. Can you back that up with any kind of documentation or is this another one of your theories?

It's true.  Research it yourself and find out.

YOU made the claim, therefore, YOU must back it up with documentation or YOU are nothing but a .

See how simple it is?

No.  I do not have to do anything.  I must have missed the portion that states "Prudhomme's Rules" govern this forum.  What's the matter, Bob?  Like your buddy Zwertbroek, you can't do any research on your own, either?

Bob.. if any consolation, I've heard the story that way as well... and it's a pretty crude - here's a gif...

a better question is why he asks about the photo 3 hours before they find it - Rose and Stoval do not get back to the Paine's until after 1pm
AFTER this interview.  Also, his entire body was NOT pasted in...  even Oswald supposedly said it looked like his face on another's body

Are you suggesting there may be some truth to what Bill says?

Ignore the toss off Bill, over a thousand postings and he doesn't even know basic stuff like this!! He seems to think we have nothing better to do than spoon feed him with our knowledge. He really shouldn't be posting here yet, untill he knows more he should just stick to reading.

PS My "pay cheque" hasn't come yet, has your's? lol

I'm only grumpy because Bill won't back up his fairy tale about the ghost photo being done by the DPD with any kind of proof.

Of course, we've come to expect this lind of lying from Bill, so I'm really not surprised. I see his chubby friend from across the pond has chimed in, too. Maybe he can find the proof? Or did it ever really exist?

hey ther bob...

How do you prove a story like that anyway?  The ONE PICTURE Bill knows about is the Fritz "badly done" attempt at what a composite might look like...  as in
"Hey world, here's what it would look like... if someone tried to do what Ozzie here says was done..."

Oy   sheeshxx

What he does not like to address is the Stoval/White photo... ot the George DeM photos..  or the missing negatives... or the fact that "photos" were found yet only "negatives" were returned... ??

Mr. BALL. Did you find some pictures?
Mr. ROSE. Yes; I found two negatives first that showed Lee Oswald holding a rifle in his hand, wearing a pistol at his hip, and right with those negatives I found a developed picture--I don't know what you call it, but anyway a picture that had been developed from the negative of him holding this rifle, and Detective McCabe was standing there and he found the other picture--of Oswald holding the rifle.

So hey Bill... what up with the missing PHOTOS... and you wanna guess whether McCabe was called to testify? or if there is a report authored by him in the dallas archives?  or have you even looked?

Mr. BALL. I would like to mark this as "Stovall Exhibit B."
(Instrument referred to marked as "Stovall Exhibit B," for identification.)
Mr. BALL. Now, at that time did you find any snapshots that appeared to be Oswald in the photograph?
Mr. STOVALL. Yes, sir; Rose did, and when he looked at them, he said, "Look at this." At the time he said that--he showed us the snapshots and the negatives to me.
Mr. BALL. Did they show you what appeared to be Oswald in the snapshots?
Mr. STOVALL. Yes.
Mr. BALL. He had the negatives and snapshots?
Mr. STOVALL. Yes.
Mr. BALL. And he showed Oswald--what was significant about the photograph?
Mr. STOVALL. He was in a standing position just outside of the house holding a rifle in one hand and he was wearing a pistol in a holster on his right hip and he was holding two papers in the other hand
.
Mr. BALL. Did you take the snapshots?
Mr. STOVALL. Yes, we took the snapshots.
Mr. BALL. And the negatives?
Mr. STOVALL. Yes.
Mr. BALL. Where are they listed on this exhibit--this Exhibit B?
Mr. STOVALL. I believe we listed them where we've got "Miscellaneous photographs and maps." There were several other photographs that we took when we were there.

go back a few pages to see the detailed list Stoval puts together (Ex B)... each item described with specific details identified...
"Enverlope with woman's book entitled "Simplicity"
"Letter to Lee from Minsk Sept 30, 1963"

Stovall Ex. B

but the photos showing Oswald holding a rifle?  the NEGATIVES of same?...

"Miscellaneous photographs and maps.

Stoval Rose Report telling us they receive the search warrant at the same time they are putting Oswald BACK into his cell AFTER Frtiz wants to know about the backyard photos

The photos are not entered into evidence and one fo the negative disappears and a third pose is found...  when AT WORST, Marina admits to two photos...

yo Bill... that's a LOT of messed up evidence to just put that photo on the cover of Life...  but sure did the trick
