NEW YORK TIMES 29.11.63 "A gunsmith from Irving said on the 29.11.64 that he mounted a telescopic sight on a gun for a man named Oswald, a month ago [I.e. end of October 63] The gunsmith, Dial D Ryder, said that he could not remember what the gun looked like and could not remember the customer. Mr Ryder found a receipt showing that he had mounted and adjusted a sight on a gun for a customer named Oswald. There was no date on the receipt, he said, but the work was done about a month ago. The customer paid $4.50 for the drilling of the barrel and $1.50 for the bore sighting..." Seeing as Oswald allegedly bought a rifle already fitted with a telescopic sight why would he want to have it drilled and another telescopic sight fitted? If it was Oswald, that is.......

I think I know now why Life printed the back yard photo of Oswald with the rifle without the telescopic sight. They must have known about "Oswald" getting a new sight fitted in Irving......

So, you all of course automatically just conclude it was Lee Harvey Oswald. Of course you do. You are CTs, and what else would you conclude?
Pay no attention to:
1. The gunsmith saying he couldn't remember the rifle or the man. (note-thats sort of weird, a gunsmith not remembering a Carcano, a relatively unusual weapon at the time.) 2. That the Carcano our Oswald bought was already drilled for the scope mount.

"Part of the reason why we avoided talking about this thing, because every time you say something, somebody misinterprets what you say." -James. J. Humes, excerpt of ARRB statement, 2-13-96

Maybe Lee was unaccountably trying to put a scope on his GOLD RING?

It must have been another Oswald who also lived in Irving. Couldn't possibly have been somebody setting up Oswald, now, could it?

It must have been another Oswald who also lived in Irving. Couldn't possibly have been somebody setting up Oswald, now, could it? How does this possibly "set up Oswald"? The name 'Oswald' on a receipt means absolutely nothing in itself, even the repairman, Dial Ryder, admits he has no idea if it was L.H.Oswald or not. Do you not think anyone setting up Oswald would have made sure the repair man would have remembered, by making a remark that ties the two together? A joke for example in which the customer makes a disparaging remark about Kennedy or perhaps drops into the conversation that he works for the TSBD. Anything which would jog the repairman's memory and make him associate the customer with LHO. Some of you CT's seem totally incapable of logic and lateral thinking, you read something in a book and without a second thought tie it in with the "great conspiracy". God, some of you CT's really are kooks, aren't you.

Probably not. The plan for JFKs Dallas trip was not yet designed. So i doubt very much conspirators could have been setting up Oswald, Lee Harvey. Unless they were conspirators and mediums too, who could forsee the the future.
The trip was first planned in June 1963 and publicly announced in September 1963. The perps didn't have to be mediums as they knew well before October.
