I don't know if this has been noticed before, I never before noticed this fast headturn by Connally.

This is Connally turning his head from his right to his left and back, starting with Z frame 136.
His head starts turning at Z150.

GIF animation, 4.2MB, 45 frames at 18.3 frames per second:

Gerda, Connolly does look concerned about something as he turns his head and the motorcycle escort appears to fall back or the limo is speeding up.  Wes

Wes,

Connally's expression is that of concern I agree, his head turns quite rapidly, within 18 frames = ~1s from left to right and back. JFK reacts a little earlier it seems. Jackie is also looking to her left. If the shot occured from behind them why is it that they all look to the left.

Hi Gerda

We need to see that in full frame, to get the full picture.

I first noticed this a few months ago. Its not only JBC who turns suddenly. Watch them all. Nellie turns right, Jackie turns right, even Kellerman in the front seat. All within just a second or less. Kennedy himself seems to pause for a moment, he looks to his left, then resumes waving to the right. All of this happens almost simultaneously. Like all else there is no proof, but it sure makes sense to think they are all reacting to the first shot.

Hi Gerda

We need to see that in full frame, to get the full picture.

I used the medium zoomed MPI frames, I will put together a version from the full frame version.
The reaction imo can be seen best with the zoomed frames. Is the quality ok ? I brightened them a bit.

agreed, to me it looks as if all of them react to something simultaneously, especially Connally's head movement is very distinct.

this is full frame including the sprocket hole area. It puts the head movements in context to Rosemary Willis.
Connally's headturn is barely visible, one has to watch closely.

larger version, slowed down from 18.3 fps to 9 frames per second, 9.4MB_

Thanks Gerda

For many years i have wondered why it was that in those Zapruder frames "HICKEY" seems so agitated.

He is leaning forward, and appears to be looking daggers at something on the left side of the limo.  walkietalkie2

I think that Phil Willis and the woman in black may have caught his eye before they finally had the sense to step back up on the curb
out of the way of the approaching motorcycles.

I also think that Rosemary Willis running along side the limo may have caught Jackie's attention.

IMHO.  This is the Tague shot from the sixth floor window.  Trees were blocking Elm.  This shot was fired directly at the storm drain and curb hitting Tague.  The reason for this errant shot was to distract witnesses and allow other shooters with noise suppressed guns to fire.  It follows a pattern of deception that begins with the epileptic fit.  Wes
