How long was Oswald in jail for betraying his country?  (Read 464 times)

When Oswald defected he said he was going to give state secrets to the Soviets. Raymond Rocca, deputy to the Agency's CI Chief James Angleton, disclosed to a congressional committee that he was certain the KGB had debriefed Oswald about US radar secrets and any information he had about the agency's top secret U-2 spy plane.

So how many years did he serve for treason?

Maybe he was one of Bill Harvey's Fake Defectors.

Oswald admitted his guilt when he claimed to have been a patsy.

Joe,

Calm down and don't jump to conclusions.

For crying out loud, Oswald was a private in the US Marines. What possible classified information would be available to him? If Oswald had been an officer, you'd have a point. Major, Captain, even a lowly Lieutenant would cause the Marines to arrest Oswald and court martial him. However, Oswald was a nothing. Why waste time on "a nothing"?

The government was glad to have him back for one reason -- cold war rivalry. Here's a guy who went to the Soviet Union and didn't like it. He came back to the good old USA. Oswald should have been more polite to the FBI, when he was interviewed in Fort Worth (mid 1962). He might have parlayed his return into a career as an eloquent spokesman for "The Ammurican Way". Cocktails with the Kennedys at the White House etc.

You know I'm right!!!!!

How strange, Ross. Oswald was a "nobody" with nothing to offer yet, a deputy CIA chief feels he, and the information he may have surrendered, was vital enough to be mentioned to a congressional committee. Pretty high ranking attention for a nobody.

Okay, now, show us what a good paid shill you are and let's see you put some LN spin on this one.

So what? Oswald didn't know anything and the KGB found him useless and rejected him.
Just the offer was not even to violate the law.

I repeat, if Oswald was a nobody with nothing to offer, why would a deputy chief of the CIA even mention him in a congressional report?
