I explored the babooshka posts and never saw her face, despite she is visible in one Murray Pic. Maybe she was indentified in a thread , but some pics are not displayed anymore. She seems to be chubby, but relativly young, like Moorman i think- 25 -32, poland- east type. As a guest, you are not allowed to view links.

Agreed Robin, I believe she is using a movie camera. However, the flash that Thierry pointed out is throwing me off a bit. Wes

I have always felt that she was holding a movie camera. Just like the one you added here Wes and the one Robin added. With the grasping handle beneath the unit The flash...could it have been sunlight striking either the lens or even better still, any chrome plated parts or trim reflecting some sunlight?

Apparently Texas researcher Gary Shaw was the first person to offer Beverly Oliver as the Babushka Lady and was soon joined by Dick Sprague. Gary Mack was one of the first to publicly doubt her. I confused my 'Gary's'.
My sincerest apologies to Mr. Mack.

I mostly lurk and read this and other forums on this subject, but I felt the need to interject here with a question. How is this thread not blowing up? The identity of the babushka lady is something that has been long sought after (I understand that some believe Oliver's story, but photographic proof has been elusive). From what I can tell, it seems very likely that this is indeed the first time her face has been clearly identified in a photograph. Her story and/or potential photographic evidence could be a complete game changer, so I'm just curious why there isn't more interest in this thread. Cheers to Theirry for doing some great work here, as well as many other places. Getting off my soapbox now. -Mike

Cool. I'm sure that there is a lot of work to do with some Allen pictures never posted. We can see some of them on the contact sheets. Darnell's film will be usefull one day.
