Gary insists on communicating through the personal message system when he could easily just respond here on the post he has an issue with. Someone started a post about him and ALL I did was ask what made him change his mind (IF he did in fact do so) from a conspiracy and he sent me this in the PM system on 12/27/11: Well Rob, since you never bothered to ask, how in the world would you know if there was a defining moment? Isn't it interesting how so many alleged researchers just make stuff up? Oh well, at least their comments separate the real researchers from the conspiracy buffs. As for me, I've mentioned a significant event many times on many forums. Here's one from 2000: As a guest, you are not allowed to view links.
Register or LoginGary Mack I think the *whole point* of my question was to find out the "defining moment" for him IF there was one! Why is he so touchy about this question? What was I "making up" when I only asked a question about what changed his mind (IF he did)? Does this make any sense to anyone else? It sure doesn't to me. What is with the term 'conspiracy buff' by the way? I thought only LNers used that term in a nasty way?  I tried to access the link he gave me for AAJ (a moderated board by John McAdams that I avoid at all costs most of the time), but it did not work, so I am still wondering what changed his mind (IF he did)? Oh well.

PM stands for private message Rob, only an assshole would post someone's PM. This forum would be better off without you on it, just sayin.
I couldn't agree more Mark. Rob seems to glow in the fact that he got an email from Gary Mack and ignores the reality that he got chewed out for his lack of scruples and was told he's a lame ass researcher by accepted standards. Kudos to Mack for that.

I really don't care one way or the other, but I do feel if someone of Gary's stature has changed his mind based on the evidence in this case he has a right to share this with others, but he seems reluctant to do this. I wonder why?
Maybe because conspiracy theory is dead for reasonable people. He no doubt realizes it's pointless to engage a few crazies that never listen to reason. When even fanatics like yourself can't formulate a theory after 48 years it's over.

The whole thread is lame. Rob ruins every thread he gets involved with so why would a thread he opened be anything but childish petty nonesense? Everytime. he is a one man wrecking crew for every thread.

Joe- If you are convinced there was a conspiracy to kill the President why are you wasting your time here? If I believed that, I would spend my time providing information to law enforcement to bring the criminals to justice and not mucking around on an internet forum. Let us know how that works out.

First off Rob... Gary cleared you to post his replies? I usually ask first and sometimes yes, sometimes no...I've read about the work he did regarding the acoustics and know from my discussions with him that this is the one area he feels there is physical evidence of a conspiracy... Anthony Marsh's work on the dictabelts timelines and existence led me to this info... The problem I have with Gary is that everything is based on the AVAILABLE OFFICIAL EVIDENCE whether its authenticated or not... and when not.. like the existing Autopsy report... he is quick with a justification or rationalization as to why... He is an amazing resource - i.e. the transcript from Montgomery's oral history saying there was a venetian blind in the bag he is holding in the photos and THAT's why it is standing up...  and should not be condemed for NOT wanting to get into shouting and insult laden matches with those here... Finally please remember he is involved with a museum that has immortalized an amazing lie... and cannot admit the supporting evidence was manufactured/altered nor show the process of authentication... case in point CE399... how any intelligent entity can maintain a hold on CE399 being involved in any way shape or form in the assassination is beyond me... but there it is. and as the comedian says... the corner is EXACTLY as it was on Nov 22, 1963 - No Oswald at the window I have made my beliefs known David many times -- if you send me a message I will post it. I have done it before with Gary's messages so IF he has a problem he can simply ignore me. I take it he doesn't mind. I come to a board to discuss things on the BOARD, not to have discussions in a PM environment. You can think differently and that is okay. Of course he is an "amazing resource" as he is the curator of the Sixth Floor Museum for goodness sakes, but I am NOT writing a book or planning on writing a book so I really don't need him to find things for me. I am NOT asking him to admit anything David, I simply asked him to enlighten me AS TO WHAT CHANGED HIS MIND IF anything has. Why is this so complicated? Why is this wrong? Some people on both sides slay me as they find this "wrong". Why? IF he has changed his mind on some points, and that is his right, why can't he share with me what made this happen? None of them can or will though as I have asked others (some supposed former CTers on this board) like Palamara when he had a "conversion" a few years back and he too was quiet on this question. IF you have changed your mind for real this should be no problem to do and that is my ONLY point. He obviously won't so this is a dead issue for me.

Just consider yourself slap in the face. For those
who believe in the Warren Commission its the lowest
form of a researcher. Dan Rather used this term
numerous times while he was an anchorman for
CBS and in his Kennedy asssassination specials..

I have posted Gary's messages before and he has NOT said anything. I am NOT here for "private" messages as I joined this board to discuss things in the open forum, but I can see why a guy with a FAKE NAME would want privacy! We would be so much better off (and have been when you have left for periods of time) without you!

Thanks, it did open right now, but yesterday it didn't. I think AAJ was having problems yesterday.

Yeah I just clicked on it and got it too. I find CT's have difficulties with basic computer functions. Like setting the time, or clicking on hyperlinks.
Nice try duncehead, but it didn't work yesterday. I know how to click a link, heck, if you can do it a monkey can do it.
