While looking through Robin Unger's superb JFK Research Photo Gallery, I noticed a GIF I had not seen there before. It was labeled: (2) Groden color back of the head Scans combined Animated GIF watch the ruler, the thumb, and the top left hand corner blood spotIt can be found on this page of the autopsy gallery: As a guest, you are not allowed to view links.

Hi Rick
I assume you aligned the stabilization using the skull flap & possible the ear ?
if so, it has produced a very strange effect.
Hello Robin. Yes, I used the skull flap as my stabilization point These two photos were apparently taken very close to one another. My guess would be within a few seconds apart. I feel if the latex gloved "finger and thumb" are moving or flexing, then it's only natural to see some movement as well in the wrist and forearm area. I would also imagine the neck remained basically "unchanged" or remained stationary, as I feel the skull flap would have too. I feel my GIF might actually be showing the top and rear scalp and underlying skull bone movement. My GIF might have produced a strange effect, but it may very well have been what the photographer witnessed as he snapped these photos

Rick,
Very interesting. It certainly does give the photos a whole new look. I cannot say what the object is in the display. I will say though, the head appears much more fragile, and damaged when looked at this way.
Thank you for posting!
