This new video presentation includes the Zapruder segment from 282 to 312 in both extreme slow motion and at real time speed. I really don't see how there can be any doubt that the limo passengers who all reacted within the same 1/6th of a second of one another, were startled then by a loud gunshot. Decide for yourself: The shots at 285 and 312 were only 1.5 seconds apart and much too close for Oswald to have fired both. (edit) BTW, if you go to Youtube to view this, you can increase the resolution to 480p and enlarge the display. I also have a much better, Quicktime version of the film at this link. It is much easier to see Kellerman's reactions in that video. As a guest, you are not allowed to view links.

Well, somebody did it.

I think Hitler figured it out.

LN; So how did it happen then ?
CT; I don't know, I only know that it didn't happen the way the evidence says.
LN; We should not use evidence in this case ?
CT; Correct.

Register or LoginThis is becoming a new years tradition Bob, there was no shot at 285, all of the movement you see at 285 and shorly after is from the slowing down of the car. Leave it alone, its a loser.

So speaks the master manipulator and creator of deceitful diagrams. Give it up, Mark.

That's not possible Mark. The reactions began at 290 but the slowdown didn't begin until 294, as Alvarez confirmed. And it's pretty tough to explain Greer's reactions and slowing of the limo by claiming that it was because he slowed the limo:-)

Mark, I don't know how anyone could seriously study the reactions by Kellerman and Greer and not realize that they were startled by something. And there aren't a lot of alternatives to the obvious. These people were squarely in the middle of a shooting at the time and they each told us exactly what they heard then. The other problem is that those same people were obviously not startled by any of the early shots. Most people only noticed one of them and most of them didn't think it was even a gunshot. As for the Hitler thing, I guess it would have seemed funnier if it hadn't been used so many times on other subjects.

Rob
I have brought something about the film to the attention of the members here but, I seem to be the only one who finds it odd.
Zapruder seems to have no problems keeping the limo in the centre of the film frames until Z225 or so. Then, the limo almost seems to disappear at the bottom of the screen. He seems to get over this problem, coincidentally, at Z313.
Strange?
Not strange. The angular speed of the 'Target', that is, the Presidential limousine, is at it's highest from z250 through z350, from Zapruder's point of view. He has to swing his camera through an arc the most rapidly during that time. This is the most natural time for him to have problems keeping the President centered in the frame. A shooter near Zapruder's position, on the Grassy Knoll, would have similar problems, trying to line up a shot at z313. A target moving at right angles to the viewer, provides the maximum difficulty for a shooter, either with a gun or a film camera.

Zapruder raised his camera to avoid filming the heads of nearby spectators and off centered the limousine. Herbert

Nearby spectators? WTF?? He was atop of a concrete post. There was no one near him!

Zapruder being atop of the concrete post was above the limousine and therefore titled his camera downward during filming. The Newmans were on the north side of Elm Street and above the limousine. This placed the tops of their heads very near Zapruder’s line of sight to the limousine. So he raised his camera and avoided filming annoying distractions. Herbert
