Too bad the guy in the light suit heading towards the rear of the TSBD in this Willis photo does'nt show up in Cook.
He looks like the fed picking up a bullet and/or skull fragments by the manhole cover to me.

Hi Andy

Yeh, it does look like him.

I never noticed before, but my Willis 15  scan from Trask's "Pictures of the pain" also shows the four entrance and exit drive through's at the Dal-Tex loading dock area.

Trask tenatively ID's the guy on the far right as KRLD TV cameraman George "Sandy" Sanderson.

Thta's definitley not Cook, and I don't think it's Sanderson. I think it is KRLD photographer Steve Perringer.

Cheers

Thanks Todd

I just came across this, from one of your previous posts.

Quote:

Robin,

The guy behind Allen in the Woods frame is actually A.J. L'Hoste of WFAA/ABC.

The best I can figure over the years is that the guy in your post of the Willis 15 slide (also in Trask's book) is quite possibly Steve Perringer of KRLD/CBS. Perringer and Joe Scott were originally at Love Field covering JKF's arrival on 16mm film. They then drove to DP in the KRLD station wagon which they parked at the NE corner of Elm and Houston. Scott broadcast a few radio reports from that location, and I believe that both Scott and Perringer shared the 16mm camera and made shots around the TSBD exterior. Then, when the Tippit shooting was announced on the DPD police radio, they left and drove out to Oak Cliff. Perringer shot footage as Scott drove through Oak Cliff, down Jefferson, at the Library where the suspect was supposed to be, and at the theater just after LHO's arrest.
