Quick Request  (Read 333 times)

I'm in search of some movie frames this afternoon and I was hoping some of you guys could help me out.  I wanted to take a look at the first section of the bell frames where JFK's limo is turning from Main onto Houston, then pulling all the way up to the corner of Elm.  All of the versions I have seen are shown in "extreme close up" because Bell filmed way to high for that section.   However, I would like to see the full frame version of this shot and can't seem to find it on youtube or any of the JFK forums I searched through.  Thanks in advance!

PS.  A quick second request.  Are there individual frames of the Couch film available?  I'm looking for the section where he is riding down Elm filming the grass area between elm and main.

I just watched through that whole film (on mute, no speaka italia  ) last night.  I definately saw the Couch film segment I am looking for, but I was curious if there was somewhere that had the whole film already broken up into individual frames (photographs, similar to zapruder).  I also did not see the section of the bell film I was looking for, unless I am missing something.

As far as I know the only existing full frame copy available of the Bell film sequence Main/Houston is the one from "The Lost Bullet" National Geographic Channel documentary. And only the sequence with the limo going down Houston Street, not the turn. All other copies are the zoomed in version by Groden. The Sixth Floor Museum sits on it and on all the other films.

The documentary "The Lost JFK Tapes" has a long Couch sequence on it. But not the sequence you ask for. But the quality is very good.

Mickael, you can download the film with keepvid.com and play it with VLC, then you slow down the movie at 1 image /2seconds and use the "capture screen" from the video menu.

To my kowledge that is the full version:

That Main st corner segment was shot too high and is very frustrating to watch, as with the segment filmed down near the clean van where it is also shot way too high
and cuts out the Limo completly
We just see the top half of Clint Hill riding on the running board.   ahxx

Michael,

This is Bell stabilized starting down around the Houston St. corner.

Since he was panning from right to left, this is a wide wide stabilization.

I'll think about doing the preview footage of this segment from "The Lost Bullet", but at this time, I see no point to it.
