lamp post question  (Read 637 times)

Gerda recently pointed out the apparent movement of the  lamp post, Using Ztoon frames 456-459 as suggested by Daniel Meyer at the Ed forum
the lamp appears to move ,I also noticed a sharp angle change in the limo I am sure somebody here can explain what I am seeing in simple terms please.

It looks like Greer violently veers to the right or is it a lens/camera anomaly?.This appears in frame 458 and 459 the entire view appears to change or is it me?.

Thanks

Ian

I will have a look at these frames Ian when I can get the chance to get on my home computer, which has all my files and software programs  brolley1

Most notably on the three frames you've posted here is the sign attached to the lamp post. A vast difference between what shows on Z458 when compared to Z459.
Maybe blur is the culprit?

Ian,

Here is a quickly made 4 frame animation made using Z frames 457-460. I "stabilized" the frames the best I could using Windows Paint...lol. And then used the animated gif creating program within PhotoScape to create the "stabilized" animated gif below. I am still not on my own home computer. Credit to Robin Unger. I used his Costella Zapruder Frames from the JFK Photo Research Gallery  thumbs1xx

I think a lot of jiggle and the resulting blur on the part of Zappy is to blame here.

Thanks for the reply Rick (again)

The gif you have supplied needs to be slower its the difference between 458 and 459 the angle of the limo on the street appears flatter
you can see almost all the bumper in 458 but there is less of it visible in 459 as if the front of the limo jumps to the right.

Can anybody else see this effect or should I go to Specsavers?.
You are correct the sign on the lamp post changes the same amount of degrees I am sure it is an anomaly maybe the lens or maybe Zapruder was moving  it just looks odd and its only 1 frame is there a cut or splice here?.

Hard to say, a veer to the right ... maybe slightly ?! Everything else looks as it should be I'd say in regards to the lamppost, it is blurry in one frame and sharp in the next, and that frame Z458 is a lot brighter than the others.

Gerda

It must be the blur, I was using the Costella frames but I will try another source .

Danke.
