R.I.P. Precious...You'll Always Be Loved And Remembered.  (Read 365 times)

Today started out like pretty much any day. Eve and I, Precious and The Kitty all together here in the morning. Eve had given Precious a bath and noticed her collar was starting to look bad so a little later Eve and I went to the store for a new collar and a few other things. Precious was jumping around and wanting to go with us because we often walk and take her but today we were going to drive and be in a couple different stores so we left her home.
When we got back home and Precious and the Kitty were sleeping together on the couch. Precious came into the kitchen with us, and I went out to the garage for a pair of pliers. As I was coming back to the house not a minute later Eve came running out saying something was wrong with Precious. I ran up stairs and pretty much knew when I saw her she was dead. She was only 5 years old this month.
She had been sick a couple times, but the vets could never find anything wrong with her. It happened so quick, but I’m glad Eve and I were with her when she died so she wasn’t alone. We think maybe a heart attack or stroke…really can’t imagine what could have caused it so fast. She was the nicest dog I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. Her and Eve were devoted to each other and I must admit that Precious never wanted for love.

So R.I.P. my puppy…we’ll always love and remember you.

My heart goes out to you Gary and your family.
My dog Sam, is the first dog I have ever had on my
own.

She has taught me how to love on a higher level
and I can only wish that we could live the same
unconditional love that our dogs bring us to the
human race.

Really sorry to hear that, Gary. Very sad. I think you have to be a dog owner to fully understand the relationship that exists between dog and master.

Very young though. Typical life expectancy for Pekingese can be anything between 10 to 15 years.

Anyway, I feel for you.

Thanks for your replies. Precious is being cremated today.
While I've had many dogs over my lifetime, this was only Eve's 2nd. The first dog she had was in the Philippines, an old mutt who used to follow her everywhere. Some people killed it one day and ate it.
Maybe in a week or two or three, we'll try to adopt a shelter or rescue dog.

Gary,

My thought to you buddy.  We lost our mastiff, moochie, several months ago, and I still get chocked up when I think of her.

I m sorry for your loss.
