James Altgens said he was about 15 feet from JFK during the 313.  I also note that he is in the grass as the limo passed.  Am I reading this correctly?  Was Altgens in the street at the time of the head shot, or am I reading this incorrectly?

Thanks for the help!

Robin, I sent you a PM.  I have some goodies for ya.

The same two frames  No alterration made to the size of the frames.

The Altgen's frame untouched, the other frame rotated and moved slightly

I also understand from Tom Purvis that the man in the cowboy hat is land surveyor "Robert West"

I altered the width and slightly cropped the re-enactment photo. I also rotated this photo slightly counterclockwise by -0.80%.
The stabilization point I chose was the center top "corner" of the concrete square pillar. It really doesn't seem to matter how
you make a GIF of these two photos. The re-enactment photo I think was taken both a bit too far south and a bit too far east
of Altgen's original position.

Thanks Rick

I tend to agree that the re-enactment photo appears to have been taken both a bit too far south, and a bit too far east of Altgen's original position.

There is also some sort of  zoom discrepancy with the appearance of the decorative white blocks on the wall of the TSBD at the right side of the steps
why are the blocks so much clearer in the FBI frame ?

It might just be the crappy altgens 6 copy they used

In this Altgens crop the decorative blocks look a lot clearer

Do you know which SS re-enactment photo Tom is refering too  ?

1.  The Warren Commission photo is one of Shaneyfelt's "shenanigans" which was done in order to make it NOT appear that James Altgens was NOT standing alongside the street way down at (5-feet from) the second yellow curb mark.

2.  Although I have a copy of the SS re-enactment photo, which was in fact taken from just about exactly Altgens true location, I am on the library computer and can not post it.

But, with your talents, there should be little trouble finding this.

Tom.

P.S. Only know what Mr. West told me in regards to it being himself in the photo's.

Not unlike most of us, Mr. West was much older when I visited him at his home and spoke with him about these things, and 30+ years had taken it's toll on his youth as well.
