Yet the conclusion is surprisingly NOT the same....
Why would the WCR L-I-E like that??                        walkietalkie2
and not tell us in the body of the report about the reallity of their exhibit CE399.....

1. The shots which killed President Kennedy and wounded Governor
Connally were fired from the sixth floor window at the southeast
corner of the Texas School Book Depository. This determination
is based upon the following :
(a) Witnesses at the scene of the assassination saw a rifle being
fired from the sixth floor window of the Depository Building,
and some witnesses saw a rifle in the window immediately after
the shots were fired.
(b) The nearly whole bullet found on Governor Connally’s
stretcher at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the two bullet fragments
found in the front seat of the Presidential limousine were
fired from the 6.5millimeter Mannlicher-Carcano rifle found on
the sixth floor of the Depository Building to the exclusion of all
other weapons
.

EXPERT EXAMINATION OF RIFLE, CARTRIDGE CASES,
AND BULLET FRAGMENTS
On the sixth floor of the Depository Building, the Dallas police
found three spent cartridges and a rifle. A nearly whole bullet was
discovered on the stretcher used to carry Governor Connally at Parkland
Hospital. As described in the preceding section, five bullet
fragments were found in the President’s limousine. The cartridge
cases, the nearly whole bullet and the bullet fragments were all subjected
to firearms identification analysis by qualified experts. It was
the unanimous opinion of the experts that the nearly whole bullet, the
two largest bullet fragments and the three cartridge cases were definitely
fired in the rifle found on the sixth floor of the Depository
Building to the exclusion of all other weapons.

WCR =

Is this why the LNers don't like to quote their sources???

Tom,

Are you in a position to tell us when Kleins began substituting the M91/38 FC for the M91 TS to customers ordering C20-T750 from Aug 62 - Feb 63?
and provide supporting evidence?

If this was common practice due to the quality of the TS's they had in stock, fine.... that would mean there is evidence supporting these switches...

Yet as a business shipping a different rifle... a C20-T749, 40" FC WITHOUT a scope....  why not note the documentation of the switch... call the man who packed the order and/or his supervisor
and the man who mounted the scopes...

Not a single person involved in the transaction says they switched the rifles... and only Waldman's handwritten "C2766 and VC836" connects the two....

Do you believe that the order for 400 M91 TS rifles was actually cancelled and they never rec'd them?  If so... please show us anything that proves Klein's got this initial shipment of "worthless junk"
and what they did with these excess rifles once they stopped shipping them in orders...

Would go a long way in proving that the switch was SOP for Kleins at this time and not some strange anomlie...
Can you show us anything the supports the notion that all C20-T750 orders were shipped FC rifles after a certain date... and were never noted as such?

How about another one of thes order forms with a rifle ID and Con # that matches the C2766 data, which was shipped for the C20-T750 order placed...

thanks
DJ

Of my knowledge, there exists no factual evidence to support the contention that Klein's took it upon themselves to conduct this substitution.
It must therefore remain as ONLY a potential answer as to why what LHO was photographed with is not what he ordered from Klein's.

or that the order was NOT placed by Oswald, nor rec'd by Oswald... that the photos are indeed fakes and the set-up to kill JFK and frame others into silence worked extremely well...

or is it beyond you to believe that Waldman could be "pressured" to cooperate?

I mean really... the only 2 pieces of evidence related to the rifle, shown to the HSCA are xerox copies?
