Thx for the link Geo,
its very interesting how the earth had a huge climatic change on a planetary scale, in a period of 300-500 thousand years. compared to what was living in that period 65-265 million years ago, to what it is now. It like earth nearly died, lost all prehistoric plants, which gave birth to very large species on land and water.
the Earth must have been very thick with oxygen, was more humid air, contained more heat Sun light and held a lot more water than there is today. compared to what it was a long time ago, i think earth is a dead planet now with very little species of mammals, large dry deserts, and less trees and plants. Furthermore, the asteroids may have possibly knocked off the earths , Magnetic sphere and atmosphere, which allowed more UV sunrays to penetrate the earth about 65 million years ago , causing dryer conditions, and extinction of species. Now the stricken earth after the event, lost the crucial atmosphere that incubated the earth.
humans evolved to replace the great dinosaurs, however it took some cataclysmic event to do so, which nearly destroyed the earth.
like what Gary Holt says, maybe the 5th one is the last.
And we wont have to worry about Oswald anymore.
