Hi Duncan.

The Lansdale look alike in the three tramps image appears to be wearing glasses, as shown by the shadow on the gate.

I know Robin, he could have removed them of course.
I notice he is carrying something in his right hand which looks to me like a can of some kind.

Hi Duncan.

Yeh he does appear to be carrying something in his hand, it also looks as though he has a coat draped over his right arm.

What happened that day?

It could be a camera or binocular case that he is carrying

A couple of things have always intrigued me regarding this image.

One is that Fletcher Prouty and Victor Krulak both identified this man as Lansdale. Secondly, given how emotionally charged things would have been post assassination, having three men marched through Dealey Plaza under armed police escort would have been a tense situation.

So why does this guy pass them so closely and between the arrested men and the building wall? And why did the cops let him get so close?

It all seems somewhat strange.

James,
very good questions! I have asked them myself many times before.
Additionally Charles Harrelson is like knowingly smiling all the time and Charles Rogers wears a jacket which is too big for him. Chauncey Holt's disguise as worker looks a bit too exaggeratedly dirty.
The policemen walk very far from them as if they were absolutely sure that the tramps won't run away. The tramps must have acted as the utmost "honest" and "cooperative" to DPD ones before!
But where is the shadow of Lansdale's glasses? I don't see it.

Thanks, Martin! Sorry I somehow missed the photo in the middle while scrolling, stupid. Now it's clear: yes, Lansdale wore glasses there. Does the shadow show fingers of his right hand on the thing he holds, too?

i think it's strange to assume that this is Landsy Baby in the photo at all. gosh, where's the proof? without that, what's the point? it seems to some that notorious, easy to spot conspiritors were present in Dealy, remained there for hours? risking being photographed?
