Can You See Me? Can You See Me Now? Can You See Me Now? Dale Myers has spent years working on a 3D model of Dealy Plaza and in his documentary "Beyond Conspiracy" he has shown how the shots line up to hit both JFK and JBC from the sixth floor window. In order for this to work he relied on the evidence from the HSCA that shows the higher neck wound. He does admit and point out that if the bullet entered at the third thoasic vertabrae as photographed and later detailed in the Ida Dox drawings, the shooter would need to be about 12 feet high in mid air somewhere near the front of the Dal-Tex Building. As it turns out on November 22 1963 there were cars and trucks and people present and the line that Myers shows in his 3D configuration intersects with the upper rack of the laundry van. Is this possible? My first thought was that the SS follow up car would be in the way but after reviewing the Nix film it is plain to see that the Queen Mary was at times 15 feet away from the presidential limo. From the corner of Elm and Houston a sniper in his ghillie disquise would only need to wait until JFK became visible for a brief moment and fire as the limo descended down Elm and veered right toward the triple underpass. The noise from the crowds and the motorcycles would hide the sound of a noise suppressed rifle. As the CIA handler told Jason Bourne "I don't just expect you to kill people. I expect you to be invisible."

Can You See Me? Can You See Me Know? Can You See Me Know? Silencers, only mask muzzle blast, not the sonic crack of a projectile, which can be as loud as the muzzle blast itself. So you would be talking subsonic, and small caliber. (The ballistics of large bore subs are horrid) Does this seem feasible to you?

Mike, I am not a ballistics expert but I think between the echo in Dealy Plaza and the noise from the sixth floor shooter as well as other sounds in the plaza that very few people would realize what was happening. Wes

Wes, I agree. Never underestimate the value of surprise. I would have to look at the angles of the shooting in your theory. I just do not think any silencers were needed. There was enough background noise, and hell, who expected any shots? Let me look at the trajectory of the shots, and ill get back to ya. By the way, if it worked out, that would be one hell of a hiding place! Mike

Mike, A sniper in that location would definately need to have balls of steel. Wes

Wes, or anyone: Has anyone ever tried to locate the company that owned the laundry truck? Do any other photos capture a name, phone number, etc? Jeff Shaw

Jeff, The only photos to my knowledge that show the truck are Altgens 5 and a still shot from Towner. I was not able to make out anything other than "cleaners". It is interesting to note that laundry trucks were used in the Houma Bunker raid in 1961. However, no one seems to know the purpose for those trucks other than moving weapons. Wes

any more photos featuring the truck ?
the truck must have arrived after the seizure victim was picked up. It is not there in Bronson's first film sequence.

That is pretty interesting. They would had to have used a pretty short weapon like an XP-100, M-1 Carbine, or something custom made with a cut down barrel and the stock cut off at the handgrip...all of which is easily done in a basement or garage workshop. A homemade suppressor is easy to manufacture. A suppressor reduces the noise at the muzzle but not the supersonic crack of the bullet. However, if you use subsonic ammunition in combination with a suppressor, like the Russian VSS Vintorez (which uses a very heavy round to maintain its energy at a distance), you can get a very quiet weapon. All of this is feasible and easily done...it would be a pretty high-risk position to be on the roof of the van.

Nice post, that is the first time i see that laundry truck. Good theory, too.
houston and elm, well that would put the truck behind JFK?
seems too low a trajectory, for the SBT though.
