Hi ,

Who are the 4 people (6 if include far distance) on grass in Z-347 ?  I've just started compiling some images so a real newbie (quality of Nix and Bell footage I have is very low)
I assume one is the G and T guy.

I'm particularly interested in the young slim guy who remains seated, before and after, yet jumps (quite purposely) as if catching something to his right.  He appears to remain
seated  and quite relaxed for some time (again actual time period not known). He appears to look under and across towards the other side of the road.   I can't find much reference to him.. Again I assume the bag (camera bag ?) does not belong to him.  Any urls / other reference material much appreciated .     Apologies if this is posted within here- however I could not find any specific reference to this guy.

Peter, Try photagraphers Bothun, Altgens, Cabluck and Malcoimb Summers.  I am not certain on Cabluck but the bag is a photographers bag. The map of dealy plaza Roberdueu? has a lot of witnesses listed. Wes

The people on the grass are, from left to right

Unidentified
Richard Bothun – amateur photographer
James Altgens – AP photographer (the camera bag is his)
Malcolm Summers

The legs of the partially visible people at the top of the frame  are unidentified

Todd,
How do know the camera bag belongs to James Altgens ?  Altgens initially crossed road without it ?
Also is there a photo/ portrait shot of M. Summers circa 1963 ?

I believe that Altgens mentions that he had a camera bag in his WC testimony.  Malcolm Summers is the guy who falls to his right -- but your interpretation that he might be jumping as if to catch something (did I read you right?) is worth checking out.

I believe Altgen's refered to it as his gadget bag, as i understand it he had his lenses etc inside of it.

I have learn't not to second guess Todd.

He has been around for a LONG time, and has aquired a wealth of knowledge regarding the JFK assassination.
