This is a good week coming. Hopefully all of us have places to go, loved ones to see. I wish for warmth and happiness for all of you here! I hope all of you have a great Christmas, or which ever Holiday it is you celebrate this week. Lots of you are not in America, and so for this week, this Christmas, I am posting the video below. Its as good as it gets here in America.
On TV here they have glorified talent shows, which end up with just a handful of acts at the end, and among them a few real, honest to goodness gems show up, as this youngster did. She is just 10 years old. Her story is, she saw Phantom of the Opera when she was 8, and began singing the songs from it around the house. People soon heard her doing this and remarked on her voice, which started the ball rolling for her. She sang this a few weeks ago at the National Christmas Tree lighting, with President Obama and his family right in front of her, sang at the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center in New York City, and in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, also in New York. This version was just the other night, December 15th, closing The Tonight Show.
How many 8 year olds are there today, that would go out somewhere and become infatuated with classical singing? Not many, thats for sure. I hope you like her!
