Do you think the Lincoln's brake lights come on in the Muchmore film?  Images that purport to show braking usually rely on over-saturation and high-constrast. The Lincoln Conrinental's rear taillights had an unique wrap-around design in which sunlight could come in from beyond the lens or along the side of the vehicle, and cause the lens to glow somewhat.
