good point, was Millican just raising his hand to his mouth or was he talking into a radio device.

here is another hand movement to the mouth, although i think this policeman is just blowing into a whistle or shouting through his hand:

Not sure where you are heading ( Purvis?) with this, but a simple word of caution.  Lamppoles and signpoles can angles can be VERY deceptive.  Angles of leaning poles change QUICKLY as you transit around them.  Try it by wallking around any leaning post (most of them are) in your own neighbohood and watch the angle change compared to vertical.  Not saying it is impossible to study the angles, just understand the implications.

This could make for an interesting stabilized gif if done properly

I was mainly consentrating on the wiegman frames showing Millican ( Hard hat man )

I am simply attempting to make a larger overall "panarama" image, by using separate wiegman frames and trying to overlap them.

of course i realize the angles and zoom facture will differ from frame to frame.

But some as the ones i posted above are very close, i didn't have to do any resizing on those two frames.

Thank you Robin. Good work and great quality.  thumbs1xx

I think Millican's arm movement is casual and sinister in Wiegman. I don't believe he has a radio or such.

Here his affidavit:

A.J. Millican
2650 Valley View Lane
Dallas 34, Texas

Chapel 7-4953

Works for Sam P. Wallace and Claude Beard Plumbing Company

Fabricating pipe for the Republic Bank Building at the end of the Katy Railroad yards and the west end of Pacific Street I was standing on the North side of Elm Street, about half way between Houston and the Underpass. About five or ten minutes before the President came by I observed a truck from Honest Joe's Pawn Shop, and parked by the Book Depository Store. Then drove off about five or ten minutes before the Presiden't car came by. Just after the President's car passed, I heard three shots come from up toward Houston and Elm right by the Book Depository Building, and then immediately I heard two more shots from the Arcade between the Book Store and the Underpass, and then three more shots came from the same direction only sounded further back. It sounded approximately like a 45 automatic, or a high powered rifle. Then everybody started running up the hill. A man standing on the South side of Elm Street, was either hit in the foot, or the ankle and fell down. And then I went back to work.

/s/ A.J. Millican

Well, 8 shots is what he believed when i count correct. Mhh
Ok, anyway the most interesting part to me is that he says Just after the President's car passed, I heard...shots....)

Terry has drawn my attention to Willis at Z#202. Look at Millican.
If you want to capture a shaken person on a still photo.....here you have it. It's looks very unnatural what he did in Willis.
The  President's car has just passed. Is that a reaction to shot Robin?

What to you all think?

best

Martin

Hi Martin

He may be flinching in reaction to a noise, hard to tell.

The two ladies to his right appear to be clapping, and do not look as though they have been startled by a noise. ( fire crackers, gunfire, backfire ) ?

It appears to me that Millican may be clapping !

Robin, thanks for your opinion.

You are right of course. The other ladies are seem to be acting casual and normal. Clapping.
Let's say except for the 4th lady left of Millican. Not sure about her arms and what she is doing.

Here for you i've colored the arms of Millican and how i see it:

It looks to me he is somehow startled and has a defense body language.

It's very tricky to analyze motions in still photos. As long as they are not very clear (like the man in red shirt next to Hudson in Nix after Z#313)
it's hard to discover them. It's just a frozen moment captured on film and we don't know what happend a fraction of a second before and after that photo.

Humans are reacting differently by loud noises or happenings.
The best example to me is, the men in red shirt next to Emmett Hudson (who made his little dance on the stairs)
and Hudson himself who stands as a statue as nothing has happend.

I stabled lately the Zframes 190-205 from "JFK the movie" and i discovered the same strong motion blur in around 198-199 as i did in the frame around 224.
To me it's clear that a loud shot rang out in DP at Z#224 which hit at least Connally.
So, the question in me raised: Did a loud shot rang out before Z#200?

You know, i have no faith in the SBT and at some point Kennedy must have been struck by a bullet in the throat.
That this happend at around Z#200 is meanwhile in a possible range to me.

best to you

Martin

Martin.

Thanks for the colorized Millican.

Now i understand how you see it !

The lady four from Millican, for a long time now i have thought that she seems to have her hand up to her mouth ? ( hard to say )

In the wiegman frame below, to me Millican's arms seem to be in the approx same position as your colorized Willis 5
the limo would be down near the underpass, he wouldn't still have a startled reaction at this point.
