Nobody likes a bad press least of all governments !.
Obama is improving America's Image around the world because he is more personal and hands on .Hell even Reagan would be an improvement on Dubya
but have the policies changed? we shall have to wait and see.

Nobody likes a bad press least of all governments !.
Obama is improving America's Image around the world because he is more personal and hands on .Hell even Reagan would be an improvement on Dubya
but have the policies changed? we shall have to wait and see.
It's like moving an iceberg - probably only cosmetic changes can really ever be made.

iam retired navy , ABSOLUTLY our govt covers things and our media is the federal govts puppets. as for obama, if you can get past our media you will see that he is dragging the country towards socialism, i find it stunning that we embrace hamas , and condem israel . we have zero reason to go around the world and apologize for anything. i dont see anybody demanding russia denouce all of their sins... ! our policys are changing , soon the middle east and that part of the world will be in the shadow of iranian nukes, north korean nukes , the taliban will be running wild . apparently thats what some in the middle east and europe want . guess what ? .... its coming soon , and then we will find out who the big dirty bastards are ... we need not apologize for defending freedom and liberty .....

Jim I do not disagree but your definition of socialism is different to mine I live in UK so have a different view I can walk into any hospital and get treated without payment of any kind .This is one of the reasons we have a BIG problem with immigration in that WE do not know WHO is here legally or Illegally .During the 1700's there was a need for social reform .I think the American way of viewing is how big is the leap from socialism to communism .And as we all know communism on a big scale does not work its a form of control it appeals to intellectuals because of its simplicity.therefore if you are against it you must be stupid .Dumb thinking indeed . As we know the world could produce enough food to sustain life for all Africa could be adapted to produce more food but we would rather donate aid to the warring countries .This aid usually ends up in the pocket of this weeks dictator which is ok as long as he is not a communist and he likes the British. its easier to purchase an AK47 than to shop in 7-11. Sad but true. Ian

I've seen pretty tough comments on Obama and his health reform, the main argument was always "if we alow this reform we are not far away of becoming a communist country".  I think those comments came mostly from persons who watched too much mainstream media, and as soon as the term "Social" comes up in the news it appears everybody in the US gets mad and thinks the reds are coming or Obama is a communist. ho hum.

i understand your logic, yes .. my view is that the government , atleast our's, never fixes anything , always over budget , etc, we have people fly to the usa for medical issues because we have some of the best. this will not be the case much longer. they are going to force our provider's out of business so they will then be in control of our health issues . last year, my father underwent heart valve replacement at the age of 83. today he is feeling better then he did 10 years ago . its amazing . under obama care , he would be dead by now .... and he paid for everything himself. i cant find one thing that our government runs that isnt bvankrupt , yet we pour billions of dollars into these programs.... most of us americans do not want the govt controlling every aspect of our lives . i dont need no bureaucrat telling me what i can eat ... these are things obama is trying to cram down our throats here and its going to backfire in a big way. i agree , the aid sent is horrible! , that is a great example ... i just think that us humans , the people that make up these countries and business can do a far better job with these world problem then the govt's . i have seen the private sector do miracles , but when we are taxed and regulated to death we have to then start to protect ourselfs . let us the people provide food, clothing , shelter , i know we can do it ,,, but the government ? no .... not ours ,,,,
gerry ... our mainstream media is in love with obama, so they have zero impact on what we think about destroying the best health care system in the world... i have never heard them say that about this reform. not our media ,,,,lolololol , we get pissed because we are a free country , that is why people want to come here ,,, not leave here. i prefer to live my life and do what i want to do ... i do not want some dink iin washington dc telling me what i can eat,drive where to work , etc .... screw that .. we are free and we will fight to stay free... if you listen to our media you would think camelot part two was happening here ,,,,, not ! so its our libertys and freedoms under assult .. so its not ho hum to most
