Hi,

i've purchased lately an original magazine of Time Life from november, 1967.
It's in good conditions and it smells really old when you open it. I piece of history.

Very carefully i've scanned some images from it. The saturation suffered over the years. No surprise.
I've did my best to rework the scans via Photoshop. Was a work of half of a day.

I like to share some of the images you are most likely are aware of.
But to me, some of them shining in a new glance now.

It should be noted that the online version of this Time Life images come nowhere close to this scans.

This is Bond4:

Here on crop:

It shows the retaining wall area with Emmett Hudson sitting on the steps.
The coke bottle on the corner of the retaining wall still in place.
No sign of Gordon Arnold nor BDM, nor running man. Taken within a minute after the fatal headshot.

Here another crop:

It shows Jean Hill, Mary Ann Moorman, Charles Brehm and son abandoned on the lawn.
Babushka lady fearless held her camera and Officer Hargis already splattered with blood and brain tissue on the return to his bike.

This one frame of the Patsy Paschall film.

It shows even portions of the SS-100-X underneath the triple underpath.
When you look closely, you can even recognize the presidential flag on the left.

The original is far more larger. It's a pity i can't share it cause of the monitor limit.
In case you like to see it, i can post crops.

I admit, i've never seen a better frame from this film.

This a crop of Bond6.

It shows Officer Haygood on his turn up toward the triple underpass. (He didn't turn over)
It shows also the first press bus reaching the triple underpass and Jean Hill in red still in position.

The only problem is the file name. Everyone already has a Bond4. You need a unique name which helps identify the source.
I renamed it to Bond4Life67.

Thanks Martin,  clapxx

Just in case you are not aware, Life magazine, according to Jack White, had artists to retouch photographs back in 1963. I don't know if these these have been retouched.

This an uncropped photo from Jim Towner.  (thank you Robin)

You maybe aware of it in better quality (me too) but at least i have never seen the full uncropped version of this photo.
It shows the gravel between the lawn and the concrete sidewalk.
This is the path where Rosemary Willis was running.

Notice Mrs. Hesters rushed into the west shelter. This photo was taken within ~2 seconds after Bond4.
Sitzman already in the shelter.

Did you know that you can edit the PROPERTIES field of a JPG to add keyword tags and other identifying information?

Silly. You're thinking of the known case of LIFE retouching the backyard photo.

If i would have known someone investigate the name title such nitpicking, i would be more careful with the names.
I hope that causes no trouble.

BTW, Robin received them all. I believe he will upload them to the Gallery.
Thats a kind of payback to your kind support towards me. Yep, i never forget.

No Anthony, I'm not thinking of the backyard photographs. I'm relaying information which Jack White gave me years ago, and which apparently applied at the time to ANY images on any topic, which any particular editor in charge, felt needed "improving" before and for publication.

Here a Jim Towner crop.

The presidential limousine made the last final turn from Houston onto Elm with the JFK alive.
A turn of history. It should never happen.
The presidential limousine is reaching the killing zone...under crossfire.

Jackie smiling, John Connally waving and Nellie, the most unnoticed person in the SS-100-X.
Jack is going to death now.
Jack was about to meet his rendezvous with death.
