This needs to be pointed out with this gif:
The SS agent riding on the front right running board (opposite side from Clint Hill) appears to be looking up-scanning windows most likely- as the car rounds the corner in this gif. I forget his name, the one who also ran toward the limo but was called back right after Clint Hill did. Oswald must have hidden himself from view during these critical moments, he must not have been visible with his rifle up there as he was several minutes before; there have been numerous questions asked over the years as to why he didn't shoot when the car was coming right toward him. I think this illustrates perfectly well why, and why he would have never made it out of the TSBD if he had fired when the car was coming right toward him. He would have been spotted pretty much immediately, and the risk of not succeeding and being caught far outweighed what sort of perceived advantage some seem to think he would have had. It can even be speculated that the SS likely may have returned fire with their M16s if Oswald started shooting when the car was on Houston.
Now back to the Weaver polaroid discussion.
