Warren Commission Photo Details Real Bullet Hole & Soaked Blood Stain?  (Read 1369 times)

Here is a cropped portion of the photo taken by the Warren Commission of JFK's suit jacket. A 600 dpi high quality J-peg computer file of the original Warren Commission photograph was purchased from the National Archives. The J-peg computer file was placed into a computer program called Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. The brightness and contrast was lightened so the fabric could be properly examined.

There has never been a discussion like this on any Internet website, forum or blog. This first ever discussion has never taken place before this posting because a high quality J-peg file of JFK's suit jacket as photographed by the Warren Commission has never been examined after being inserted into a computer photo program such as Corel Paint Shop Pro. This thread creates a whole new phase of investigating the Kennedy incident on Elm Street.

Analysis of JFK's Suit Jacket

When a bullet enters an upright or horizontal body wearing a shirt and suit jacket, the blood from the wound flows on the top of the skin in a downwards manner.  The blood soaks into the shirt and then into the suit jacket thus leaving a dark stain.

The "official" bullet hole according to Warren Commission was in the upper mid section of the back area. However, there is no soaked blood stain below or around the bullet hole. The only logical conclusion is the bullet hole is a fake and created after JFK departed Elm Street.

In contrast to the fake bullet hole,  is a round dark area that is the result of airbrushing a real bullet hole present on the upper right shoulder area?

Is the corresponding dark area below the round bullet hole shaped area a soaked blood stain?

What are the odds that a shadow and/or wrinkle could form the same shape as a bullet hole with a soaked blood stain below the small round area? Beyond astronomical.

But most importantly, key eyewitness statements corroborate the dark area on the right shoulder of JFK's suit jacket. Secret Service agent Roy Kellerman who sat in the passenger seat of the presidential limousine was questioned by the FBI on November 27, 1963.  The key statement by the FBI agent in his report was:

...he observed President Kennedy  with his left hand in back of him appearing to be reaching to a point on his right shoulder.

Kellerman made a lot of false, unsubstantiated or incomplete statements during his Warren Commission testimony but his statement to the FBI is corroborated by the bullet hole and soaked blood stain on JFK's jacket. Any and all statements made by the Secret Service agents  are determined as true or false depending upon the presence or absence of physical evidence, photos of the physical evidence and corroborating eyewitness testimonies.

The bullet hole and soaked blood stain on the right shoulder of JFK's suit jacket and Kellerman's statement to the FBI are corroborated by numerous Elm Street eyewitness who either stated JFK's right arm slipped off the side of the car or he slumped into his seat. None of these eyewitness saw JFK grab for his throat as falsely depicted in the faked Zapruder film. If JFK had been shot in the mid back area and the bullet exited his throat as claimed by the Warren Commission:

1.   There would have been no bullet hole and blood stain on the right shoulder of JFK's suit jacket
2.   Roy Kellerman would have not seen JFK reach for a point on his right shoulder.
3.   The Elm Street eyewitnesses would not have seen JFK's arm slip off the side of the car and JFK slump into his seat.

A bullet hole slamming into JFK's mid back area would have propelled his body forward while his right arm would have not slipped off the side of car and he would have not slumped into his seat

The Warren Commission photo, Kellerman's FBI statement and the Elm Street eyewitness statements are the "triangle" corroborative foundation for the conclusion that JFK was shot in the right shoulder as he grabbed for his right shoulder with his left hand and simultaneously slumped into his seat. Not one eyewitness located outside the presidential limousine corroborated the event of JFK being struck in the middle back area and the bullet exiting out his throat.

Additional Corroboration

John Costella compiled a library of quotes by eyewitnesses on Elm Street stating they observed JFK slump into his seat. Costella nicknamed JFK's slump in the seat of the presidential limousine as the "chicken dance" in his lectures and written presentations. The only motion JFK could have done after being shot in the shoulder was to slump in his seat.  JFK would not have slumped into his seat had he been shot in the mid back area and the bullet exited out his throat.

Another portion of Kellerman's statement to the FBI and to the Warren Commission also provides another corroboration that JFK was shot in the upper right shoulder.  According to the FBI report and his Warren Commission testimony, Kellerman heard JFK shout "My God, I'm Hit!"  in his distinct Boston accent after the first shot was fired.

Parkland Hospital medical doctor Robert McClelland held open the bullet hole throat wound of the second victim removed from the presidential limousine with an surgical instrument as the other doctors completed the tracheotomy. Dr. McClelland was asked the following question during a recorded three hour interview:

"Could any human whisper nevertheless shout any kind of words with that bullet wound to the throat?"

McClelland's answer

"Impossible"

How can a person with such a dire throat wound shout "My God, I'm Hit?"

The only logical answer is because the first bullet did not strike JFK in the back & throat but as the corroborating evidence states above, JFK was shot in the upper right shoulder.

You seem to be mistaken about what represents blood in the processed photo.  The reddish areas are blood.  The dark blue areas are, for the most part, wrinkles. Why don't you post the original NARA jpg?

No, thats incorrect logic, let me give you some alternate thoughts. Kennedy was upright only for a few seconds after the shot to the back. He then spent the rest of the minutes wearing that jacket in a position that was down on his left side. The jacket was removed at Parkland. If your idea about blood soak is correct, the majority of blood soak to the jacket (from the back wound) should be to the left of the bullet hole, as this would be the area directly below the hole when he was lying on his left side. And it also presumes that there would have been a strong heartbeat, strong enough to pump considerable volume of blood to make the soak happen, after the head shot. I doubt Kennedy had anything like a strong heartbeat after he was shot in the head.

Geoff,

Just a word of advice, look into this guy before wasting to much time.  His name is Brian David Andersen, and he is insane frankly.  His book, "My God I'm Hit"  Is an absolute laughing stock.

Jerry & Geoff,

Thanks for you input.

When a wound bleeds into a shirt and suit jacket, the dried blood will turn dark just like the photo.  The red spot had to come from an external source and not an internally bleeding wound.  The cloth of the jacket is flat with no wrinkle however there is a slight hump at the red blotch area. As I stated in the post, the odds of this area with a round area at the top (bullet hole airbrushed) with the dark area below (soaked blood stain) being a wrinkle and/or shadow are beyond astronomical.  The wrinkle and shadow theory just does not hold up to scrutiny and close examination.

What also increases those odds is the corroborating eyewitness testimonies and especially the statement made by Roy Kellerman to the FBI regarding JFK reaching to point on his right shoulder with his left hand.

Once the blood oozed out of the wound while JFK was upright and lying on his left side, logic and physics dictate the blood just stayed in the initial downward grove no matter what position his body was moved to. However, this would be a good experiment and would not take much effort to determine the blood soak patterns and movements in shirts and suit jackets.

For nearly 50 years, amateur and professional JFK researchers have been examining the hole in mid portion JFK's jacket as presented in the Warren Commission photo.  I have yet to discover any person noting that there is no normal soaked blood stain around the bullet hole at the mid upper portion of the suit jacket. As far as I can tell, me and Mark Anderson are the first researches to comment on and point out the absence of the soaked blood stain around the "official" but fake bullet hole.

In May of 2009 I ordered all the pictures taken by the Warren Commission, FBI and National Archives of JFK's shirt, suit jacket and tie from the National Archives in a J-peg computer format. The archivist said that I was the first person to order all the photos in a J-peg format. How many JFK researchers have paid $554.88 US so they can conduct a proper and thorough investigation into the clothing or any area of the JFK incident on Elm Street?  The J-peg files were inserted into computer program called Corel Paint Shop Pro and the brightness and contrast were adjusted so the pictures could be properly analyzed.

Does my willingness to put out a half a grand to conduct proper research make me insane and a laughing stock?

The National Archives raised the price for J-peg files of still photographs so the order will now cost $750.00 and take 45 to 60 to ship.  Please go to As a guest, you are not allowed to view links. Register or Login if you would like to purchase the 600 dpi high resolution photo library at a major discount.

However, when Mark and I starting examining all the J-peg files we discovered some bizarre but true facts. We sent our findings to researcher John Costella and he verified our discoveries that are detailed in the revised edition of "My God, I'm Hit!"

And Mike, Costella did not laugh at our discoveries nor did he call us insane but even though he still does not agree with our overall conclusions he was extremely impressed and I have the e-mail exchanges to back-up what I say.

The second victim removed from 100X (JFK Limo) had a bullet wound to the right forehead and a large portion of the right rear skull was blasted away. The forehead wound was the entry and the rear right skull area was the exit for one bullet. Numerous pictures of the 100X and the passengers including the Zapruder film and aerial shots of Elm Street were placed into a computer program called Auto-Cad. The basic and advanced geometric analysis generated by the Auto-Cad program proves the victim that rolled into Parkland Hospital could have not been shot by a rifle or pistol located either inside nor outside of the 100X. Numerous Warren Commission testimonies by Parkland Hospital doctors support our findings.

So if there was no way a bullet fired from a gun located either inside or outside the 100X could hit JFK in the right forehead, where was the gun located?  We have a very sane and rational answer in our book.

There are two bullet holes in JFK's suit jacket that were photographed by the Warren Commission. One is fake and one is real. But there is complication. Ambulance driver Al Rike moved the victim from the Trauma Room One operating table to a bronze casket. Rike examined the entire back area of the victim and his observation does not at all corroborate either bullet hole in the photo of JFK's suit jacket taken by the Warren Commission. What does this contradiction mean?  The rational and logical answer is in our book.

Brian.

I must be honest, i have great reservations regarding the theories put forward on your website.

But i will hold comment until i have looked at the book properly.

Thank You Robin,

The reader may not agree with our conclusions but we bring an entire book of new evidence, a fresh analysis of current evidence and new testimonies that at the very least prove a conspiracy did take place and totally negate the lone gunman and magic bullet theories. And when the reader takes the time to carefully study all aspects in the book with an open heart and mind, the reader cannot put down the book and say the word insane. However the reader could have good chuckle due to the volume of important evidence revealed in our book being hidden in plain sight for nearly 50 years.

Also more comment about the bullet hole and soaked blood stain on JFK's suit jacket. Notice that from the top to the bottom and from the left to the right of the dark area there are no ripples or waves in the fabric.  The fabric is almost flat except for a small hump under the red area that is blood that was deposited from an external source.  The lack of ripples and waves in the dark area of the fabric on the right shoulder means the dark area cannot be a wrinkle.  The dark area being a shadow caused by an object between the light source and the right shoulder area of JFK's suit jacket is at the very least very highly unlikely and is at the most impossible. No ripples, no waves, no wrinkles and no shadows means the dark area has to be a bullet hole with a soak blood stain.

Again, Thanks Robin

I'll tell you guys something, I've always wondered about the jacket in general, there doesn't seem to be much blood on it at all to me. Compared to the shirt. I've often wondered if his jacket was cleaned.

This discussion about the jacket and the dark area on the right shoulder prompted me to do further analysis of the Warren Commission photograph that I bought from the National Archives.  The picture of the suit jacket posted by Robin is a retake photo by the National Archives. Computer files with 300 or less dots per inch (dpi) as posted by Robin (72 dpi) are mostly useless when attempting to perform a close examination.  The Warren Commission photograph in the J-peg format sold by the National Archives has a dpi of 2,500 so the picture holds together when small areas are enlarged to the maximum limit.

During my most recent examination of the dark area on right shoulder area of the Warren Commission photo of JFK's suit jacket last night, I discovered a real gem that has shifted my perspective on the make-up of the bullet hole and the dynamics of the blood soaked into the suit jacket.  Jerry I look forward to your alternative thought related to this discovery. My perspective also changed by expanding the possibilities related to what kind of weapon was used to injure but not critically harm JFK as the Powers-That-Be swatted him on the shoulder to remind him to keep his mouth shut.  This revelation has prompted me to change the text on the cover of the book and insert new photos between the Acknowledgements and Foreword pages and also revise the text related to the bullet hole and soaked blood stain on the right shoulder in the Warren Commission photograph.

When the discovery is released hopefully ballistics persons like Mike will join in on the discussion. The final edits of the book are complete so the new updated book cover will be posted on the website in the next few days.

Thanks, Jerry, Geoff and Robin for your comments and input that spurred me on to do further research and discoveries.  Please be patient while the necessary steps are completed and all the ducks are put into place for a coherent presentation.
