I think this is why they called it "Fireball" Here the recoil with scope, why there is no fireball as big as in the first GIF above, i don't know: Here the Dent: and here the Files Shell ETA: The barrel of the gun in the GIF without the scope is shorter than in the GIF with scope, why is that ?

IF there was a shooter in the sewer drain on the north side of Elm, and I still think a shot from that location was possible, I think the weapon of choice would have had to been the Fireball XP-100...simply for it's size. A full sized rifle would have been impossible to use. But one of these could have made the sewer drain shot a real possibility IMO. As a guest, you are not allowed to view links.

Duncan, I went into that drain, back in '95 and an associate drove his car to the (apparent) 312 position. I could not NOT see our JFK stand in from there. But I could, after the car moved forward, about another eight feet. What made me seriously consider this theory (which I used to ridicule), was that other evidence related to when the protrusion in the BOH first appeared, seemed to match with when JFK first became visible from the drain. Also, a rising trajectory seems to work much better for a shot that blew bone back to where Brehm stood, and spattered the motorcycle cops with blood and tissue, with considerable force. What I think happened was, that when the second headshot was fired, it caused a large piece of broken skull to flip to the rear, ripping out hair and scalp in the front of the head, which folded back over the inner surface of that broken piece of skull. This is the large, broken piece of skull, And in this blowup of frame 337, we see what that area looked like after that piece flipped. When that shot was fired, it blew out pieces of tissue and skull to the rear. Jackie caught a glimpse of a piece of tissue flying to the rear, which is how she knew it was back there.

It does not sound that spectacular loud, doesn't it? I don't buy Files' story either, but there is no doubt that he was a member of organized crime and probably rubbed elbows with mafioso who were involved in the assassination, or were at least knowledgeable about the details. Perhaps, that was the weapon that was used to fire the final shot. It was certainly small enough to have been used from inside the north storm drain.

I used to think that this was an absolutely ridiculous notion - a sniper location, down in there - but now I believe that its exactly where the final explosive shot to President Kennedy's head came from. BTW - I highly admire the painstaking work you have done on this case, Bob.
