It does not sound that spectacular loud, doesn't it?

Mike,
I see a large gaping hole on the back of JFK's skull at the occipital area and a back-and-to-the-left movement in the Zapruder film. Something must be the reason for it. And James Files tells his story very auntentically, answers questions promptly and there are a lot of intelligent and wise conclusions uttered in the threads on jfkmurdersolved.com/forum. Sorry if I disappoint you. I also believe Malcolm Summers and see the man in the Bothun photo and I think, Holland and the others didn't invent the gunsmoke smell and the footprints behind the fence. And there is Lansdale, the 3 "tramps" and INTERPEN members on Dealey Plaza ... The LNT is just too simple, sorry.
Chris

LoL Thats because there was nothing complex about the shooting.  Pretty straight forward.

What really kills me is all the kooks saying how hard these shots were with a rifle, then they claim someone did it with a pistol!  Now theres common sense lol

You seriously don't want to make a judgement call of the noise from the .221 Remington Fireball based on a recording of it, do you? Or based on what sort of audio playback system you listened to it on? Do you have any idea at all of how much less loud gunshots in videos are, compared to being there beside the gun in real life?

some soundsystems can't even record noises above a certain decible level. And i suppose if Zapruder's camera would have had a mike attached to it and IF someone like Files would have fired a shot with a Fireball (without silencer) the shot would probably not be audible in the film. Does anybody know the decibel level that Zapruder would have been exposed to If Files had fired a Fireball ?

PS:
from 8:10 into the video things getting fairly interesting:

- very little recoil (no mule kicking)
- expert says it is absolutely no problem to shoot accuratly
- the shell isn't hot at all, and look at the dent, the teeth mark, exactly as the marks on the "Files" shell.
... hmm, i really like the Files story, it is very exiting !

Gerry, you saw "very little recoil"?  I have to disagree 100%.  I saw plenty of recoil, enough of it to where James Files could not have seen through the scope what he said that he saw!

DUDE!

Given the weight an muzzle velocity it would be a huge recoil!

Bill & Mike,

ok, i am a layperson and to me it looks like little recoil, my understanding of a kicks_like_a_mule_recoil would be if the gun would go up °90 or more.
thanks for the info :)

best, Gerda

Gerry, I understand what you're saying.  I just think that the recoil was enough of one to where James Files could not have seen the things through the scope that he claimed he saw after the shot was fired.  Read the transcripts of his interviews.  He claims to have seen things through the scope after firing the shot.  He couldn't have seen these things through the scope.  If he were really there he would know that he would have been so close that he wouldn't have even needed the scope to see these things that he described seeing.
