Rosemary Willis running in Dorman  (Read 32932 times)

I created this GIF for Anthony Marsh showing Rosemary Willis from her first appearance in Dorman to her disappearance into the ghost frame area.

Is anyone up to the challenge of stabilizing it, Dormans camera was flopping all over the place.

It does appear to me that Rosemary Willis must have caught her eye, because she pans away from her and then pans back to her.

HELP NEEDED

Rick / Chris / Martin

3.5MB

It may take a while to load ( Approx 90 - Frames )
30 - Frames each frame x (3) times
Blury frames included.

Paul

I am only a newbie when it comes to stabilizing GIFS.
Iam still in the process of teaching myself the technique.

The real artists in this area are  Chris Davidson, Rick Needham, and Martin Hinrichs

I need to get some tips from these guys on how they do it and produce such quality work.

I just " UPLOADED " Ricks stabilization of my Zapruder / Sitzman GIF to the gallery.

He did a hell of a job on that one.

Thanks Rick.   hugsxx

Looking at the GIF i can't help but think how exited the kid looks as she runs trying to keep up with the limo.  ( Youthfull Exuberance )

What happened next must have really shattered her.

Well, somebody did it.

What was his position ?

LN; So how did it happen then ?

CT; I don't know, I only know that it didn't happen the way the evidence says.

LN;  We should not use evidence in this case ?

CT; Correct.

Hi Robin.

I am certainly up to the challenge. But....since Dorman pans right, then left, then right again,
I think it will be impossible to get ALL the frames into one stabilized animation. To do this as
one long animation, I would need one STATIONARY OBJECT seen in each frame. Since Dorman
zig-zags to the right, to the left, and then back to the right (with the last pan right covering more
distance than the first pan right), I think this could only be done in two segments. Let me see
what I can do. If possible, I will try and go for one long animation rather than two shorter ones.

Paul,

I have tried so many animated GIF software programs. Thus far, to construct a quality
GIF animation, I have narrowed it down to these two software programs. #1. Ulead
GIF Animator. There are (were) 5 versions of this software, the most recent being
Version 5.0. Here's the problem. Ulead is no longer in business. It's nearly impossible
to find a place to purchase this software online. I recently purchased Ulead's GIF
Animator Version 3.0. I found it NEW on Ebay. After installing it on my computer, I
quickly realized this version was not capable of stabilizing frames into a quality
animation. I was heartbroken. I had searched the internet for quite some time before
I had stumbled onto this NEW software...still originally sealed. I knew it was a gamble
because it was not Version 5.0. Ulead GIF Animator Version 5.0 is what you want if
you can ever find it. Version 4.0 is questionable too. I don't know if it's capable of
stabilized frame animations.

I then stumbled on to a 30 day trial shareware of Zoner GIF Animator-Version 5.1 for
download somewhere on the internet. This program IS capable of creating stabilized
animations. I still have roughly 25 days left in the trial period. I'm hoping I can register
& purchase this software program via online purchase the closer it gets to expiring.

Robin,

You're welcome & thank you! I feel very honored that you uploaded the
animation into your fine photo gallery. I'm glad you liked the end result
of that one. It was very time consuming and was well worth the time I
invested into making it. I was very pleased with the result. It's hard to
describe the feeling.... when I can finally sit back & watch something put
into motion that has taken me hours to construct...for the very first time.
You know what I mean...as you have taken the time that is required to
make a quality graphic presentation on this forum....countless times.
You, Martin, Chris, Duncan, and many others  thumbs1xx gimme5xx

And I want to thank you for posting your animated GIF of those Zapruder
frames, because without you doing so, my stabilized animation would not
have been possible.

Thanks for heads up Rick...I will let you know what I come up with, I will dig deep into the internet, you know what they say if it's been on the internet it's still on the internet....
Thanks

Robin,

In it's beginning stages. Here are the first 5 frames.
One of these frames is very blurry. I will leave this
one here for a day or so, then I will delete it. In a
few minutes I will post another with the blurry frame
left out.

I can see by the amount of panning movement
provided by Elsie Dorman while she was filming,
these will maybe have to be done in many different
segments  = (   If you would like to see  stabilized
animations using the entire width of all the frames,
these are going to get very large. By that I mean
the width of them will be very wide....in the attempts
to "keep up" with her panning movements.

 ahxx

 Rick

Robin please note: If you would rather have the attention and stabilization focused
on Rosemary Willis ONLY, I might be able to do this in one large animation file. The width
of the animated GIF would remain the same.....800 X 600 pixels. Just let me know what you would
rather have

And here is the second test animation. This one is
nearly like the one seen above, but I have left out one of
the blurry frames.
