Rick, per the Betzner #3 slide I loaned you.
Could you please comment as to what you saw
when viewing the slide for the forum.

Hmmm. I had posted where I had tried scanning the
slide here, but without much luck. What you have posted here on
the forum shows results far better than what I was able to achieve.
I wish that while I had the slide I would have been able to locate my
magnifying loupe....which I believe is an 8x loupe. But I could not
put my hands on it after just having to relocate a few months ago.
It was packed away somewhere and I could not find it. Wished like
hell I could have 
All I can say with any certainty is that when I held it up to a light,
I was able to see a fair amount finer detail than any crop I had ever
seen of that area in Betzner #3.
