This whole thing is really pretty simple. Weitzman simply mis-identified the rifle. He admitted to only seeing it "at a glance". He wasn't lying, he simply made a mistake. I really don't know why some CT's can't accept that.
The only one of the bunch that was a liar was Craig. Roger Craig was not lying on 11/22/63 when he said that he thought it was a Mauser. He was trusting Weitzman's judgment. Craig became a liar on the issue sometime down the road when he made his ridiculous claim that "Mauser" was actually stamped on the barrel. The most interesting thing is, on 11/22/63, Craig never made the claim that "Mauser" was stamped on the barrel.
There's nothing there guys. The only rifle found on the 6th floor was Oswald's Carcano. Move on already.
