Why would Oswald call Ruth Paine twice with the same request? (Read 370 times)

Oswald phoned Ruth Paine and asked her to help him reach NY attorney John Abt. The conversation ended and they hung up.

A few moments later Oswald called again and repeated the identical conversation he had just had with Ruth Paine.

Why would he do that?

There's no transcript, just the report of the two calls.

I think most of us believe that the Paines were involved with the intelligence community and could have been Oswalds out .He admitted to the DPD that the green rambler belonged to Ruth Paine and she had nothing to do with this .I think Oswald was hoping she would contact his handler Phillips because he missed him at the theatre .He already knew then he had been left to take the rap.

-She may refused to do?
-Oswald asked to speak to Marina or the kids and repeated the question to make sure Ruth will do it for certain because it was important for him?
-The record of his telephone callings are wrong?

It's speculative. We may never know.

You're right, of course. But maybe two speculations equals one supposition...two suppositions divided by one skepticism equals a theory...or something like that...
